I want some pieces of advice from all of you.

Due to unscheduled load shedding at night (at about 10 or 11 pm), we are unable to start/run water pump motor to extract water.

My father’s friend has suggested him to buy 3 KV generator which is costing 55k minimum but we don’t need any generator only for this purpose (as we already have UPS and it is serving us very well in load shedding).

So, any other IDEAS do you guys have to resolve this matter? Or we must buy a generator to extract water as a last option?

Your suggestion/recommendation/advise would be highly appreciable.

This is what came to my mind instantly (also kinda fun project), granted I might not have sufficient experience with this stuff and only know it from the measly hardware programming experience I had from back in uni as a CS student. Also, this solution might be overkill for your task and might also be accomplished with a simple circuit, so it is wise to wait for other answers as well.

Anyway, what you could do is get a raspberry pi zero with a power bank (heck maybe even a simple microprocessor) programmed which would close the open circuit (aka switching on/off, the motor it self or the socket switch) if the time's in range specified or something else. You might have to fiddle with AC/DC Modules for the pi but the guy who is programming it probably knows about this as well. If you are in Karachi there are a couple shops in cooperative market, saddar, who sell pre programmed stuff such as this and can even do custom programs on order. You might call the program the "A/C device switching program". If you are a programmer or know someone who might know this stuff then you can DIY.

NOTE: This is a lot cheaper than spending 55k on a generator.

Also It might be something like this: https://electronicshobbyists.com/co...with-raspberry-pi-raspberry-pi-relay-control/
albeit alot less exposed if you have a case on the pi.

What you could do is, get yourself a DC motor pump. Connect it with a 12V battery & you'll be able to run it even at night with out any issue.Buying a generator is too much of a hassle & is expensive AF. Hope this helps..

You can schedule your water pump to start and stop at a scheduled time everyday by buying a timer switch.

This way you start the water pump and fill the tankee when water pressure is maximum.

You can get these from AliExpress and Daraz:

This one is on Daraz and has 54 ratings.
