Report: 10Mbps broadband in 33 million homes by 2012

A study from Texas-based research firm Parks Associates predicts that 33 million US households will have broadband connections of 10Mbps or faster by 2012. As of the end of 2007, that figure stood at 5.7 million, which means that a lot of change will have to occur in the US market for that 33 million figure to become a reality.

Its just a start man, last year at the same time, who thought bot getting 1 mbps connection, atleast not me and now ive applied for one. Student package. PTCL is offering 2 mbps aswell so its matter of time before competition gets stronger and they move to 4 mbps (assuming ofcourse) but a lot has changed in a year. As for telecom sector, china mobile is gearing to enter Pakistani market and its the biggest company in terms of user base so they know how to handle its self and thats good news for Pakistan (maybe i feel this cuz ive spent 3 years in FAST as telecom student).
