[SOLVED] Recommend a good psu

My current PSU , Corsair ax1200i does not work anymore. I need to buy new one. Can anyone recommend me good PSU ?

And is 1000w more than enough ?

A quality 700-750W capable to run any single gpu setup to date and is recommended as well. Such as above given links. For single 980Ti, 850W is a bit more unless you're getting a cheap deal.You need a quality unit having quality component inside, and not ratings. In other perspective, SILVER, GOLD, and PLATINUM offers some high quality components, not every unit, but manufacturer behind the power supply justify the quality builds, Like Sunflower, Flextronics, FSP, Seasonic. On the other hand, Corsair, thermaltake, Cooler Master are not manufacturer, they only brands their product (PSU). How would you know the manufacturer details of specific model? Just go and read specific model reviews on jhonnyguru or HardOCP then make your purchase. That will give an idea which PSU is capable of what, especially for long run purpose.

Get Corsair RM series. Nafu is right. You dont nedd more than 750w. Though if you still want a lot of headroom, go for RM 1000 gold. Full modular

I've ordered rm850x. Would that be fine ? I mean, I won't be having any disadvantages for not opting 1000w ? It's 10k extra

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
