Hey guys.Vista is out now and most of u will be using it.Inferno is definately using vista and so am i.I have a question that there is a feature of ready boost in vista.it emans that if u plug in ur usb flash drive in to ur pc then the memory available in the drive will result in speeding up ur pc.i have a 256 mb flash memory and to try that feature i instred the flash in to my pc.when i open the propertires of the flash drive and click the ready boost option i came to know with taht "the device is pluged into an unspuortted interface" so anyone of u know y i got this mesage and how can i tackle with this?inferno u should know it i think...

plug it in one of the rear usb port.... and u must not eject the USB ever to take full advantage of readyboost

NO I am not using vista..I am now back on XP due to the performance issues with vista, furthermore right now there are not enough drivers and softwares available for vista..for example firewall etc.. and in order to enjoy the windows vista real experience one should be on core 2 dua with a decent graphic card like 7600GS/GT with 2GB of DDR-II RAM else I think U should keep on stick with XP!

Not yet.I tired everything but still i get the message that "ur device is pluged in to an unsupoted interface". no forum has this answer.

Did U read the information on the sites, which links I posted above? they address this problem U need to use a ready-boost compatible device! they also have the list of working flash drives!

Yeh inferno i read it now and i did not have that supported flash drive.in my city hard to get these things so now i better cehck lahore for that flash drive which is in the list.thanks any way.

well if a computer has 256 mb of ram........k...........can we use 2gb supported flash drive to use vista at its best.........?.......or u need to have atleast 1 gb ram natively to run vista in its proper theme.........?

yes U should have 1GB of RAM to unlock all the vista eye candy features like Aero transparency and animation effects + 256MB graphic card!

Ready-Boost is just another virtual memory and U can't get the actual RAM memory based performance using it!

yeah ready boost cannot match performance of ram.... but if u have a USB lying around u could use it.... but if u want to gain performance buy a stick of ram. 2 Gb is recommended
