RD790 board

A famous EU retail business has listed Gigabite’s upcoming RD790 board. Komplett will have two SKUs one named Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 AMD790FX AM2+ and the second Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5 AMD790FX AM2+.Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 board uses AMD 790FX chipset, supports DDR2 memory and works with Socket-AM2+ CPUs. It is an ATX motherboard that supports GbLAN and this sucker has four PCI-Ex(2.0)x16 slots!!!

After some Norwegian taxes it should not cost more than 100$ ~ $150 which sounds like a reasonable price.

At this time only the AM2+ versions of the board are available and you can only pre-order the boards. We’ve heard that the official launch might be as early as next week.

yes only for AMD CPUs (for now) with AM2 or AM2+ socket

I spotted an Asus' M3A32-MVP Deluxe motherboard based on the AMD 790FX chipset. The board comes with four PCIe graphics slots, two PCI slots, four memory slots and a heat pipe chipset cooling system.

It supports AM2+ and AM2 CPUs and has at least one IDE and six SATA ports. The PS2 port for mice is gone, but the bluish PS2 for keyboard is still there. The board has 5.1 analogue audio port, a SPDIF port and an optical digital port that will hopefully support Dolby digital Live.

The board also comes with six USB 2.0, Esata and Firewire and, last but not least, a Gigabyte LAN port. The board should be ready in two to three weeks and is not the only AMD 7x0 to come from Asus.
