Rare Replay does offer 10,000 Gamerscore — from a certain point of view

Rare Replay, the anthology of 30 games spanning 30 years of the studio's history, does offer 10,000 Gamerscore as claimed — if you account for the 7,220 Gamerscore already offered by games that have previously launched on Xbox 360.
Rare's James Thomas, in an interview with Rare Gamer, clarified the 10,0000 Gamerscore claim, acknowledged that Gamerscore previously earned on Rare games that are part of Rare Replay already count toward the total Gamerscore offered. "The benefit of this is that you get to use your existing achievements to get a head start in unlocking the bonus content within Rare Replay," he said.

"The 360 games are as they currently are on the 360, nothing added or taken away," Thomas said.
The achievement-tracking site TrueAchievements counts 150 new achievements worth a combined 2,780 Gamerscore (one is, delightfully, "Do You Have Battletoads?" offering 15 Gamerscore simply for playing that game.)
More remarkably, Thomas says the save files from Rare's previous Xbox 360 titles (Viva Pinata and Perfect Dark Zero are two) can be transferred to the Xbox One collection. "Your saves carry across too, thanks to the wonders of the cloud," he said. "If you saved it up there on 360, it'll be there on Xbox One."
Rare Replay launches on Xbox One August 4. The earliest games it features are Jetpac, Atic Atac and Lunar Jetman, from 1983. The latest are Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise from 2008. For more, see Polygon's preview from E3 2015.

[h=2]Rare will fix Battletoads' nasty two-player glitch for Rare Replay[/h]
The infamously difficult Battletoads for NES was made even harder thanks to a nasty glitch that anyone who played the game's two-player co-op mode will likely remember unkindly. Rare says it will fix that bug for the game's inclusion in Rare Replay, the developer's 30-game collection for Xbox One.
"We're aware of the bug," said Craig Duncan, studio head at Rare, at the developer's San Diego Comic-Con panel today when a fan asked about the glitch. "It's part of Battletoads legend. We have a way of fixing it, so it is something that's on our final bug list."

The bug in question cropped up when two players reached the NES game's eleventh level, Clinger Winger. Player two's controls would glitch when they reached that level and they'd be unable to move. The second player would then have to sacrifice their remaining lives in order for their co-op partner to continue.
Duncan said Rare debated whether or not to fix the glitch at all, explaining that although it's adding new features, like rewinds and cheat modes, "we wanted to maintain the authenticity of these games."
"To answer the question directly, yes, we're gonna fix it," Duncan said. Rare wants people to play games the way they remember, he added, but admitted that Battletoads is already hard enough.
Rare Replay comes to Xbox One on Aug. 4.

[h=2]Battletoads' vinyl record soundtrack is stunning and not exclusive to SDCC[/h]

Beloved beat-em-up Battletoads isn't just being included in the Xbox One's Rare Replay Collection announced at E3 last month, the 90s game is getting some pretty amazing collectibles as well.
Developer Rare and art collective iam8bit teamed up to create an amazing Battletoads vinyl soundtrack which collects David Wise's original soundtrack from the game and puts it on a 180-gram record. The $25 album will come with an exclusive Sound Chip jacket and Dark Queen gatefold at San Diego Comic-Con. You can pick up the vinyl with different art after the show, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The two also teamed up to put together a 30th anniversary limited edition print by DKNG. The five-color, hand-pulled screenprint is 18 by 24 inches, features all 30 games from the Rare Replay Collection and is hand-signed and numbered. The prints sell for $50 each and there are only 400 of them.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
