PTCL 8 Mbps vs Charji EVO Cloud

Hi guys

I live in NHS Zamzama, Karachi. I've been on a 4 Mbps PTCL package since the past 4 years and now I'm thinking of switching over to an 8 Mbps (Rs 3000) one or Charji EVO Cloud (60 GB/Rs 2000). Fiberlink or Transworld don't serve in my area. Please let me know which is a better option.

If your line quality is good go for 8 Mb DSL as it is unlimited. Charji monthly volume in 2000 Rs. is 40 GB, not 60 GB as you think.

Go for 8Mbps. i am getting very good pings and consistent speeds of 7mbps~ with zero disconnections

VPI/VCI is 0/103, you're on a copper line.

Upgrade to 8 Mbps will cause an instant nosedive in your line stats and you will face disconnections.

But these are manually set. I remember we shifted to fibre optic and the line stats got a lot better. Attenuation used to be 40 dB and downstream margin was around 9 dB.

They're worth it though. Both for low latency and downloads.

Im using ptcl 8mb broadband and want to know what upload speed should i get? I usually get around 0.80mbps to 1.2mbps. Is this okay? I don't think so? Need answers.

That's fine, rather it's on the higher side. Uploads are restricted to 1 Mbps for some shitty reason.
