Ps4 slow download speed

Hey guys! I just got a ps4 Problem is I am barely able to download games online due to the ultra slow download speed. I have a 2 mbps ptcl connection. I set a static ip, Open dns (which worked better than google) and put the ps4 into dmz on the router but no significant difference. A couple of my friends use local net with same speed on their ps4s but it works well for them. My speed overall is good with speedtest giving 1.6 mbps download and net wotking gine on browsers on pc and mobile. Help?

This is a known issue with pretty much no workaround. There is one thing you can do though. Read this

I have had the same issue at the start but i dont know it downloads alot faster directly on my console now. But you can try to download games to your PC and then transfer them to your console using PSXDownloadHelper

2mb? FORGOD SAKE please do not doubt anything until or unless you have atleast 6mb.

i have 8mb ptcl i get 1mb/s download speed on psn alhamdulilah.

whats your ping? i get 15ms ping plus i have added ps4 ip to DMZ in router.

Use a wired connection,before downloading power cycle your console and router,also your extender if you use one,turn them off for 1 min,then start all of them,test internet connection,then start the download,after that pause and rapidly start it again,It always gives me the fullest speed after doing this.

What? Where are you getting 15ms ping? Which game?

Wired Connection ftw, and configure manual ip and add it into dmz host from your router, Voila its fast as heaven
