PS3 Official Black Ops 2 MP Thread - Best COD MP ever?

did anyone get the hardened edition i payed 13000Rs. for it and got screwed over. the hardened editon code isnt working cant download my nuketown map . after seeing other forums and contacting activision looks like i am not the only one. i was looking forward to playing on nuketown

I'm pretty sure you didn't get screwed over and the problem is the region of the disk and the region of the account you are using to redeem the codes. They should be same.

So, played a lot of bo2 today and tried the LODESTAR. amazing score streak, 1400 score. Called in 3 and got 37 kills. I recommend using it.

no offense but i can and wanted to buy the hardened edition. also i wanted nuketown zombies cuz i dont buy dlc for COD and the basic game takes me through the year also i got my replacement code from my retailer and the new code worked like a charm.

I played about half hour or so yesterday and was getting my ass handed out to me. Just practicing the game so far, i am still a noob in COD and can't even knife properly. I don't really like the sprinting method though. Pressing the analog stick seems clunky to me. Maybe it will take time to get used to. Other than that, the graphics look like they are straight out of a PS2 game.

Is a moderate NAT status good enough? I usually 2-3 bars and 4 bars on some rare occasions. Maybe there was lag because i usually got killed before i could retaliate or maybe i just suck in this game .

Got the Hardened Edition today , all that wait was worth it . Love the Original Soundtrack, The MEdals, Nuke town Zombies and Two amazing Themes.

Initial impressions:

+ Graphics are improved, and frame rate is excellent (huge improvement over Black Ops)
+ Matchmaking is very good. And lag is bearable on 2 bars.
+ Customization options are endless, and I really like the 10-point custom class system.
+ The revamped Menu is amazing, and the menu soundtrack is EPIC!
+ Streamlined party system. Gotta hand it to Treyarch on this one, party forming and joining has literally become effortless and blazing fast.
+ Maps are small-medium sized.
+ Gameplay is fast-paced, haven't exactly encountered campers yet.
+ Spawn system.

- Maps can get linear.
- Barrel campers. These asstards take cover behind objects, get a few kills, die. Rinse and repeat.
- Random spawns makes enemy encounters unpredictable, but this is probably because I haven't played the game enough.

That's it really. I like the game so far. I sincerely hope this doesn't become a snore-fest that Black Ops turned out to become after a couple of months.

Slayers are becoming less and less relevant with every passing entry of the series. The game is far more rewarding to people that play the objective. I've seen people with miserable kdr's outscoring slayers in just about every tough match. Next best thing would be to do off with that k-d ratio completely like they did in Brink.

Linear as in they're all setup in a straight line or that they're one-dimensional?

If it's the first one then yes they are, probably because of domination. MW3 maps were different, they were setup more in the shape of a triangle.

If it's the second one then no, the maps are quite well designed save for a select few. Certainly better than MW3 but not as good as the ones in the first BO I'd say.

Have to agree with this one. In this game specially. Getting score streaks while playing the objective is much easier.

Was playing a kill confirmed game the other day, and was going 4-8 negative but still managed to call in the stealth chopper just by collecting dog tags and assists. The game rewards you for everything.

UAV, Counter-UAV and Orbital Vsat is the best score streak setup for leveling up fast.

It has become harder to play in 2 bar than in mw3. Matchmaking overall is improved I'm getting connected to 3-4 bar lobbies much more frequently.

This is BULLSHIT! They lied to the fans. They didn't share that NukeTown 2025 is always going to be in the playlist.

"Upon the release of “Black Ops 2” fans that pre-ordered the game to obtain the “Nuketown 2025” multiplayer map had the understanding that they would have access to this map in public ranked multiplayer matches at all times. Shockingly, today David Vonderhaar announced that this is not the case. Delivered through Vonderhaar's official Twitter account, the following statement has been given:

"Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger. Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events. You can always play it with your friends in Custom Games."

loving the game so far although i have a pathetic K/D ratio cos well i suck at it but its easier for me to Kill people or more likely be killed cos the maps are pretty straight forward. Although i encountered some campers last night sniffing in the windows for a clear shot but due to the factor that you get familiar with the map in a short while made me easy to get some comebacks, so right back at you Abuses will lead to banes.

I am in no means a FPS player and some of you might think that i don't belong here. OMY and MUAZ wink wink!! but dudes help me out here like what class should i use, what weapon and what perks should equip cos currently i think i am on level 13 or something.....

My playstyle : Running like a lunatic and get into peoples face rather then toe tripping on a shade or hiding behind a damn window( whoever u were i hate ya!!)

Amir Bhai, you need an SMG, silencer optional, preferably with the quick aiming attachment. As perks, get the Extreme Conditioning + Dexterous Perk 3 and perhaps the Toughness Perk 2 plus a Perk 1 whose name I forgot.
