Eurogamer - 9/10
FIFA and PES seem to have swapped shirts, with neither catering to the original audience they once set out to attract. Based on this year's offerings, though, it's PES that has the clearer direction of where it's headed. Perhaps most tellingly of all, PES 2015 is more satisfying in defeat than FIFA 15 is in victory.
Playstation Universe - 9/10
After several years of seemingly going through the motions, PES 2015 absolutely nails the football side of things whilst making small advances other departments. There is still work to be done for next year, but for now, where it matters most, PES is on the up.
God is a Geek - 9/10
PES 2015 doesn’t reinvent the wheel completely, but is a noticeable improvement on its predecessor, with some brilliant new inclusions that make it feel more on a par with other sporting peers.
GamesRadar - 4.5/5
Modes and presentation still need some work, but Konami has finally delivered with the gameplay. On the pitch, where it matters, PES 2015 has a clear edge over FIFA 15.
Gameblog.fr - 4/5
2015 is back in the game. This first edition on PS4 and Xbox One (even if this version is visually a bit disappointing) will please all of those who were missing the unique feeling from the series. Beautiful and incredibly enjoyable when you get to improve your skills and understand how it works.
GameSpot - 8/10
Most importantly, though, is knowing that PES 2015 is not inferior to FIFA 15. That in itself represents a huge step forward for a series that, for a time, looked as though it had no chance whatsoever of getting back to digital football's elite table.

VideoGamer - 8/10

It's great to have PES back offering serious competition to FIFA, but this isn't the year it topples it. Not for me anyway.
Metro GameCentral - 8/10
A significant improvement on the last generation of Pro Evo games, and for the first time in years PES is more entertaining than the new FIFA.

In spite of licensing problems, PES15 is still getting great reviews. Quoting a portion from Gamespot's review,

The answer, then: FIFA or PES? If you're looking for something fast-paced, exciting and guaranteed to give you goals, then FIFA is for you. If you're looking to delve more deeply into passing, movement and working out how to break teams down, plump for PES.

I love that PES has made a return from irrelevancy. FIFA was IMO awesome for 4-5 years (last PES I liked was 2010). I haven't played FIFA 15 (PC is broken), but I'd love to give both games a try. Will download this as soon as possible. Though I like FIFA's cameras and training more, and all my friends play only FIFA, but I'll try to convince them to give this PES a try. The reviews are pretty good.

PC is, again, getting the inferior version. Konami and EA are no different in that regard. Best experience for football games is on the consoles. That's where the target crowd rests I guess.

I have played PES 15 demo and indeed the demo is awesome. There are a few things in Fifa I wish would carry over or vice versa.

FIFA has a much better collision system and a much better animation system but it feels much more assisted

With PES the new close control thing works + it feels more analog + the player models are epic, but PES really needs to update its much much dated menu system and get proper Licenses

I can write a whole article based on things I want in PES borrowed from FIFA *or the other way around

@NaNoW Has FIFA finally fixed its collision system? Because it was an absolute mess in FIFA 12. Players tripping over each other for no particular reason. Goal-keepers kissing players and what not.

Last PES I played was PES 2010. Some of the best goals I've ever scored were in the PES games. I suck at Fifa but PES suits my style of play. Too bad the online community isn't very great.

The decent additions in fifa 15 > player collision system, goal keeper intelligence/animations and better first touch..but it still feels too assisted, I so wish fifa would tone that part down.

edit > oh also they have added "camera shake due to crowd going wild" thing if you score a goal at your home...which I like :$

Fifa 15 is crap. Specially defense. Good to see pes coming back in competition. Gameplay wise pes is better then fifa. I play fifa regularly and tried pes demo which inpressed me. Only problem is online community for pes is not much. All my friends play fifa otherwise i would have given pes a try this year.

My biggest gripe with FIFA, after the continuing presence of Legacy defending. Every year, after a certain time with the game, player movements are scenarios tend to feel more and more scripted.

Apart from licensing, the accessibility is a huge reason why FIFA is universally loved. And no one plays with manual controls. The game gets too hard, and its usually much harder to score in PES by default.

anyone who has downloaded the full game on pc or other consoles ?
if yes then do post some impressions. According to the reviews fifa 15 beats pes 15 with its better commentary and licensed kits.

I played the PES 15 demo yesterday on Xbox. Compared to Fifa 15 it was completely different, not in a goof way or maybe, I'm not used to it. The player movements are weird and the controls are pretty difficult to get used to. Fifa 15 has much better gameplay overall. The only problem with Fifa 15 are a few glitches that should be fixed by EA in the future. Here's one thing, if you're a Fifa player then transitioning to PES is a very difficult feat to achieve.

Yeah me too noticed the same while playing the demo. It will take time for fifa players to get used to pes. But gameplay wise i found pes better. There are all things like skills, 360 dribbling etc in pes. Plus i found lob balls more realistic in pes. They wont land on attacker's feet all the time. Also defenders are more stable in pes, specially their positioning which makes it difficult to score. Fifa is more like arcade game. Major disappointment in this year fifa is its defence system which is broken. Plus goalkeepers are also messed up. I am playing fifa since 2002 and online since 2009. But this year i liked pes more then fifa purely because of gameplay. But i only played demo so cant say anything about final product.

In Fifa crosses/heading was really broken and ball always found the back of the net, however, in fifa 15 crosses or lobs rarely reach the player. On the other hand, lobbed through balls are still OP but that's always been the case with previous Fifa games.

The PC demo is up on Steam. Clicking on it gives the error, 'It is currently unavailable in your region'. What's up with this region-locking thing?

I am an old gamer (let's just say I played Fifa World Cup 94 lol) and have actively played Fifa since then till now. I also played lots of PES in its glory years (2004-2008ish). Have not picked up PES in the last many years because it completely went off the rails while Fifa has grown by leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, Fifa has become arcadey and now looks like it is designed to:

(a) be easy to pick up, essentially, a game you'd play without being a fan of football
(b) target a specific age demographic (10-20 years is my guess)
(c) to create excitement, thrills and spills, immediately which is why you'll get huge scorelines in 15.

I have played almost 2500+ games online of Fifa in the last few years reaching and winning Division 1 so it is not like I am anti-Fifa. But the game has become such a disappointment over the last 12-14 months given its broken mechanics (through balls, headers, high pressure, the assist level etc). PES from the little I have played has just been fantastic. It is like playing a proper football game. If I were to give a managerial example PES vs Fifa is like Guardiola (complexity) vs Redknapp/Sherwood ("run around and show passion") in terms of its gameplay.

Yes the graphics are pretty poo on PES but the gameplay this year more than makes up for it. Those who have only played Fifa will obviously find it difficult to transition but if you are looking for more than just high pressure sweatfests, it will be worth the learning curve (yeah there is that on PES unlike Fifa lol).

Just hope PES keep it up. Competition is always healthier.

I always Played Fifa And Pes Too (but not as much as i played fifa) anyways.

The Good:

Gameplay Is Better Than Fifa no Doubt.
Better Character Moving Physics.
Better Control On Character.
Better Kit Detailing When Camera Is Near Player.

The BAD:
Unrealistic Net Not Real At All too Buggy.
Referee Gives Yellow Cards Too Much.
Colors are a Lil Washed out

Except This, Pes Has Improved Too Much Just Play PES 2014 then 2015 You just can't say it's the same pes. I Enjoyed Pes alot it's one of the best pes ever made.
