Hi guys!
Recently shifted on Nayatel. Wanna do port forwarding on it for couple of apps on it. Tried using available online methods (none of them were exactly for the CPE in question) but ports doesn't seem to be forwarded.
Can anyone help?

Hey! You have to call Nayatel and ask them to do the port forwarding for you. You'll have to purchase a static IP (don't ask why; nearly every ISP in Pakistan has this condition for some reason), and then you can just tell them the ports you want to forward and the target device. It'll start working within a couple of hours. It's very easy to setup, but it does have a small cost.

If you set up the port forwarding yourself using the router, it won't work because I think the ISP blocks that functionality from their end by default, so even if you set up everything perfectly on your router, that won't be enough. You have to call Nayatel.

Yeah I gathered that after posting the question here. basically nayatel is charging for port forwarding and that IMO, is actually very pathetic on part of nayatel. While PTCL dose no such thing.
You don't need to buy a static IP from your ISP unless you are making some sort of a server at your end which requires an external static IP. For a simple port forward all you have to do is to give your machine an internal static IP and define your desired port in your modem and that's it.
Nayatel is just making side business with port by blocking them and opening some certain ranges for a monthly fee of 150rs/Month. That's very pathetic for charging something as meager as a port.
I am a long time PTCL user and now I also have Nayatel experince. And I must say, Apart from customer support, PTCL is far far better then nayatel in terms of value for your money.

Almost all ISPs except PTCL use CGNAT which means that they share a single IP between multiple users as IPV4 is very limited in supply these days. This causes double NAT as all users are behind their firewall router and makes it impossible to port forward unless you pay extra for a dedicated static IP. I have Stormfiber and they do the same bs but they are also using native IPV6 which is useless atm as most large firms with servers are still operating over IPV4.

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
