I'll probably get it, just so I can play Disgaea 3 if nothing else. But the initial reviews for the launch titles have been disappointing. No killer app as of yet. And none on the horizon either. PSV seems set for failure right now.

Will take some time for developers to concentrate on making PSV controller enabled games...Imagine heavy rain :D and GOW's gameplay O_O with multitouch functions :p

Okay, yes it looks superb. But is it a launch title?

Well, yeah, exactly my point! Imagine GOW with some dumb tacked-on touch screen QTE. It might sound good but no, it doesn't work.

The best use for the touchscreen would be something like the PS Minis. You know, small "casual" games instead of hardcore games. Infinity Blade would be perfect on the PSV.

Mind you, I'm still going to get it. In fact, if I'm lucky I might spot one at the airport and I'll get one by tomorrow. But still, there's a small (big?) part of me that's saying "Screw it! You'll be wasting your money".

In a long Vita Q & A, Sony confirmed the company currently has no plans to make the Vita compatible with PS3 or PS2 titles.

The full question reads, "Is PS Vita compatible with other PlayStation platform games like PS3, PS2, or PSP? Do you have any plan to support other PlayStation platforms in the future?"

Looks awesome, and I really wanna buy it. But I'm saving my money for lots of games this year, and the first generation is sure to have some issues. Hence, I'll wait for some other model (preferably a SLIM-er one in the future).

Also, it'll be pirated in 2 years MAX, so that'll be the time to buy it. Theres NO WAY I'm buying games for a handheld. Buying them on the PS3 is expensive enough. Though for some exceptional games, I'm willing to make a digital purchase :p
