Phone suggestion in 25-30k range (NEW & USED)

I've been very much out of the loop lately and want to buy a new device, so here I am.
I was considering buying a new Redmi Note 8. Is there a better option in new phones?
What do you guys suggest if I go the used phone route?

I am actually not a fan of notches on phones to be honest. I would like to avoid them, but it's not a deal breaker.

take a look at vivo s1 it costs around 32k brand new and it has a Super AMOLED display, other specs are similar to Redmi Note 8.
