Is TCL C2 55 inch any good compared to Samsung MU7000?
Warranty and reliability wise TCL C2 is way better than Samsung. Samsung Picture quality in terms of brightness and Upscaling is better than C2 but Samsung sending third class quality in this region I dont know why.

I have been trying to get a hold of a new Samsung 55KS9500 or 55KS8500 but local shops in Rawalpindi seem to have sold out all the models from the 2016 KS series; instead, they only seem to have the two TCL models as well as Samsung MU7000 and Q7C models.

I noticed that these old models are available online on Homeshopping and Shophive but I am quite wary of spending a considerable amount (Rs. 200,000) on a panel without official warranty that might well end up costing me big time (we are all aware of online scams).

Sadly, that leaves me with the option of TCL C2 or P6 or Samsung MU or Q7C series, which are alternatives that easily fall well below the KS series in terms of what they offer.

Does anyone know any reliable places here in Rawalpindi/Islamabad where I could possibly get the KS series in perfect condition? I might even be willing to travel to Lahore or Peshawar, if that's what I must do to get my hands on this model.

Ended up buying Samsung KS8500 55-inch variant from Friends Corporation, Blue Area after having gone through the thread and following rtings reviews.

This was somewhat hard to find since it belongs to a 2016 line-up that is not as readily available as the MU and Q series.

Though, I am thoroughly pleased with the picture quality as well as sound quality (which I initially had my reservations about).

Someone needs to do official side by side comparison between mu7000 and TCL c2 to end this debate once and for all.

Hey. So recently the family has decided to change up the lounge tv which in this case is an old samsung 40" LCD... now the plan is to go bigger.. and hopefully cheaper..
So i was wondering out of all brands such as TCL, Ecostar, Haier, Orange and etc would you recommend.. The purpose of this tv is to be the entertainment system where we can connect our Digital android box, a hdd with movies and my consoles (esp my xbox one s)...
any suggestions or opinions would be helpful...
TIA

p.s. i should mention that someone from the house is just looking at ecostar... especially the 55" CX55U571... and since in the past people told us to stay away from the ecostar and these brands.. but that was several years ago.. so an updated idea of these brands would be helpful....again.. TIA...

@Phatman I am guessing that the family wouldn't fancy the idea of purchasing a SONY or Samsung for as high as Rs. 200,000.

So, with respect to the requirements you mentioned, TCL C2 would suit you best in my opinion.

Its not like they wouldnt want to.. but the price tag for it is the major point of concern... its like this for all the name brands like sony lg and samsung... they are good but similarly have their own issues, including price, which as some have mentioned in the thread before can easily be replaced by the brands i am asking about..

Is there any place in karachi where we can see a TCL display? i mentioned ecostar because there is an ecostar/gree showroom like 5 mins away from my house in DHA, karachi...

Also looking at my requirements, do you think a smart tv is required.. we already have an android box which can cover the functions of the smart tv...besides possible bump due to processing power for the smart TVs...
