Is this a good buy? Need just for movies/TV shows/Netflix

Buy Samsung 50MU7000 50inch 4K UHD SMART LED | Yayvo
are you sensitive to judder in movies and dont like soap opera effect or watch sports alot thn go with any other tv with 120hz native refresh rate plus if u want wide better viewing angles thn search for ips panel keeping this in mind that they will have black uniformity issues plus light bleeding plus very low contrast(sony x800d is a good tv especially its blacks and contrast are much better for an ips panel but is costly)i have mu7000 55inches and judder dont bother me i i turn off auto motion plus settings because i dont like soap opera effect.dont know about netflix but i watched few episodes of games of thrones with mirroring laptop and i found it very good so is the case with movies on amazon prime videos, iflix and my portable hardrive....but it doesnt have very good rating for watching movies if you concern rtings.com which i dont because their model is different thn ours....i suggest first choose few models regarding your needs and likes thn go to market and compare them by actually watching stuff you are buying it for.....i did that.took my own hardrive portable and plugged it in thn watched movies listened to sound after my satisfaction i bought it)never buy online ever!

here is a little review of some kind(not proper review)of my mu7000 55inches variant
Unboxed Samsung UA55MU7000RXMM 55inches variant

43 inch P2 UHD TV

Sent from my Honor 6X using Tapatalk
i went to see p2,c2,c1 they were good for the price but i find them dull and very less bright compared with samsung but thn again samsung is much more costly thn any tcl tv for that matter.....if you are looking for tcl tvs thn why dont you go with c2?its latest and is able to use hdr through all ports, internet and etc while i think p2 doesnt have hdr or its just limited to usb...hdr is a future thing and doesnt make alot of difference on these tvs because of limited brightness but thn again softwares now these days are capable of doing much more thn we think so i think you should go with hdr 1 plus as its the latest model it will be having much better support thn all other models of tcl...and first you should make up your mind what features you are looking for or for what purpose you are going to use it

I need help regarding home theater purchase. I am looking for a setup with Dolby Atmos and HDR capability. Budget is around 100k (can stretch it provided its worth it). Currently, what I could find online that fits my budget is Onkyo HT S5805 but it doesn't have HDR capability. Onkyo 7805 and 9700 can't be found no where. It will be attached with Samsung KS8500.

1. Can someone please direct me to market/shop in Lahore where they have good variety of HTs? Branded outlets/super markets only keep stuff of their respective brands.
2. A word of recommendations on the models mentioned or any other model/brand suggestion.
3. I play movies either via external HDD or Netflix/Amazon Video. Is it possible that a non-HDR HT setup could be used just to give me audio while I enjoy HDR through the sources mentioned?

Thanks
Can you tell me the price of the Onkyo HT-S5805?

Also what speakers/system did you end up getting. I am also looking for a good recommendation.

Thanks!

TCL 55 inch C2 4k hdr is costing about Rs.106,000 - give or take and the 49 inch c2 model is coting 86000 - 88000 in rwp area .

both are extremely good models the 55 inch model has a decent size harmon kardon sound bar with 4 speakers comapred to 2 in the 49 inch model.

55 inch C2 has price very close to 55 inch K7000 which is around 115k.... is C2 that good to be chosen over K7000?

no way if you can find ku7000 which is not refurbished because here in rwp market on murre road all ku7000,s in 55inches were refurbished.never buy refurbished tv ever.but if u can find 1 which is 100% new and not refurbished thn c2 cannot compete with it in terms of picture quality, brightness and interface

mac007 i,ll suggest if you are making mind for buying any 1 of them then compare them side by side or just watch them at different display centers at the same day if u cant find them together at 1 place...i bought mu7000 and paid much more thn what it actually worths just because of ths reason that i wasnt able to find any new ku7000 all were refurbs which were available.and i think if you dont mind picture quality difference thn you can buy c2 but mu7000 55inches is way too costly when compared with c2 i bought mu7000 for 1lac28k and c2 ia available for 1lac6k and with bargain you can get it even lower than that.but if theres difference of 10 or 12k between c2 and ku7000 thn ku7000 definitely is far better thn c2 only if you can find new 1 and not the refurbished piece....my emphasize on refurb ku7000 is because of the fact that here at rwp murre road i searched every single market and any1 who had the ku7000 in 55inches available were all refurbished...c2 from my point of view and my testing is inferior in upscaling, interface, brightness, colors vibrancy, mirroring when compared with samsung ku7000.
