Heres what i found:
'Ok, the dedicated server sends an UDP packet to 207.38.11.34 port 29910 when someone connects to check the authorization. Also the server sends some kind of ping (i'm not sure about this) with a constant 4 byte id in the packet to the same address. I found that blocking port 29910 on the router level allowed me to join my own server without an authentication error. You need some kind of firewall of course. I used iptables like this:
CODE
${IPTABLES} -I INPUT -p udp --sport 29910 -j DROP
${IPTABLES} -I FORWARD -p udp --sport 29910 -j DROP
${IPTABLES} -I FORWARD -p udp --dport 29910 -j DROP'
