A question.to.audio.nerds ....is a 4 ohm full.range speaker superior.then.a non.full.range 8 ohms speaker

Just got a new audio system to go along with my new pc build. The whole system will act as my gaming/home theater set up. I also have a viewsonic HD projector for when watching movies/tv shows.

Audio system specs:

Yamaha rx-v673 Receiver
Jamo s426 5.0 speaker system
Dayton Audio 12 inch subwoofer

Thank God i never got into the speakers. Too much for my wallet. Speakers are too expensive if you want proper audiophile quality. In 5-6 lacs you can get top of the line stuff in the headphone world but to equal it you will have to spend close to a crore.

no if u look around u can find a lot of stuff and 1/2 the price ..u just have to know the right ppl .

i am looking in to a jamo speaker system my self ...but price .

i was more incline to geting a jbl system 181 jbo front 2 speakers , and rear 2 speakrs jbl 161 , and center is a klipish 3 in 1 . all rated at 8ohms .

what holds me back is do i really need it .

Jamo is owned by Klipsch btw

they are avaliable but have to get back on the price - like i said i got the kef c4 so i dont need the woofer of the jamos .

the jbl speakres prices are

jbl model 181 about 25k for 2 speakers
jbl model 161 speakers after much constant talks he said about 16k for 2 speakers -but only if i buy all from him
center speaker klipish 3 in 1 roughy rs.6000

...

have to see what price he gives me for jamo ...

though i got 4 ohm philips speakers from him ---and damn they rocked ---like the little beast were small woofers in them selves .
