My PC keeps freezing and then the fans run at full speed then pc just shuts down or sometimes it just keeps running and i have to manually shut it down. This happens randomly and sometimes the pc doesn't even post (the fans just run but pc doesn't open). I have no clue as to whats causing this and i have checked everything as best i could and found 3 possible things could be wrong.
More Detail:
I checked the ram as best i could but i don't have any spare modules so i can't confirm that the ram is 100% perfect but so far i don't think it's at fault. This problem started on the May 16th and after 4-5 hours of trying to diagnose the problem and fix it, I found that it was most likely the ram slot fault and gave it to a tech shop so that they could fix it (they also said it was a ram slot fault). I got my PC back within 2 days and fired up and was surprised to see it working flawlessly then again 5-6 days later the same problem arose with the exact same symptoms and at that point i knew that they didn't fix my slot properly and took it back to them. When i took it to them they said they would diagnose the problem and tell within 2-3 hours and when i called them they said it was a ram problem which i believed to be bullshit and their pathetic attempt to make more money. The next day i went to claim my PC and they fired it up at their shop to show me that the problem was fixed except they were using their ram and not mine and told me that my ram was faulty. I took my PC home and fired it up with my ram and it worked perfectly and this was 4 days ago.... The problem started again yesterday however it's a little different from before. The difference is that my PC still boots up and works however under serious ram usage the PC freezes, fans run at full speed, and shutsdown/keeps running. I'm beginning to think that now it actually is a ram problem because the PC is still booting up rather than before (when the slot was faulty), it wouldn't even POST. Another weird that thing that is happening is that whenever i attach/detach my usb/ethernet/audio ports the same freeze thing happens and i think it's being caused because the PC is being shorted out. Also My PC most of the time won't boot with Usb/ethernet/audio ports attached and during boot will freeze too. I just need to know WTF is happening, could it be that the slot damaged my ram and now it's not working? is the ram slot faulty? is something causing the PC to short out?
