They just gave all their attention to environments and characters. Story wise its not that engaging which original RE2 was. they changed the story and middle game meetups of Claire & Leon. Like in original they meet in Stars room and sherry,s first meeting and also in the end. But it doesn't matter now cause it IS a masterpiece.

You are right about the story. Leon and Claire also talk on the radio. Many parts of story are removed and connections from other games are also missing. Specially the ending. But the gameplay is super. One of the best Classic resi.

Finally completed Remake 2.

Check the description of the video. It only needs one dll file in the main folder. I haven't been able to make it work. Don't have the right DLL file and not sure where to find it. maybe it'll work for you

Maybe like that Special K's mods, this dll is designed to not work with cracked versions.

I am not a fan of adaptive difficulty in this game. I played Claire 2nd run standard mode again. I was facing G4 boss. So I had

27 Flame rounds
310 Submachine gun ammo
6 grenades
Gatling gun with 400 ammo

I ran out of every ammo and had to throw grenades and it died with one grenade remaining. That is just BS.

I have beaten this game 100% and this boss fight seems like it's hp adjusts according to the ammo we have.

Cool in re4 but not here.

I remember on my first run I killed it with just Gatling gun on standard difficulty. On that run I didn't had that much ammo. Only the ammo found in G3 boss room.

Was finally able to play this for a good 3-4 hours yesterday. Capcom has nailed the old school resi vibe with contemporary game mechanics. I am loving the exploration and puzzle solving at the moment. Though, the one thing thats the most striking is its interconnected level design. Everything about this game feels absolutely perfect.

As quick as I was in finishing Leon's campaign, I've left Claire's campaign after a while and don't feel like playing more. Maybe its a bit too similar to start and I need a break before diving in again. Also, the weapons are just not good.

got samurai edge leon and claire weapon dlc code as apreorder and since i got deluxe albert model samurai edge aswell

It doesn't make any difference. In leon's campaign Matilda is better and in claire B 6 shot revolver is better then Samurai edge models.

I also have deluxe version and samurai edge gun doesn't seem that much powerful. Not much of a difference from standard gun and it has 0 ammo when you first take it from item box. 2nd run handgun is 1.5x powerful.
