I didn't realize keeping Steam in Offline mode would mean that Steam doesn't track time boo .. I would say give or take .. 30-ish hours since the game released

I unlocked the game 6 hours early using Tunnel Bear VPN and after unlocking it people suggested to go in Offline mode so it doesn't accidentally go back to "Pre load' instead of Play. Had it kept like that all weekend lol.

I put it back online, don't really use Steam that actively though so you won't see me online on it often.

Capcom are releasing 3 small "What if" episodes on Feb 15th featuring some NPC's (some of which are already dead by the time the game starts).

Free content updates. Pretty cool.

Finished both runs with both characters. Love it's gameplay. Classic Resi at it's best. Already beaten it 6 times. Only negative is how they handled the story. There are not many links to other games. Some cutscenes and dialogues are worse than original. Hated the ending.

Nah, cheat engine is just for RPGs

I genuinely don't know why Steam shows my played time as 0 hours, I would imagine the game was keeping an internal track and whenever I would connect to Steam it would just update the time in Steam.

Cracked versions aren't denuvo-less, they're by-passed.

Good to know that the tweaks from the demo are applicable in the final game. The game by default has a hideous sharpening filter to counter the TAA and makes scenes like these an eye sore....

Luckily you can disable it with some hex editing and it looks natural now.

21:9 cutscenes look great too!

Yes, you can change costume any time.

Noir costume is great, but when you first select it, you'll be asked within the costume menu if you want to enable the black and white filter. There's no separate place to enable or disable it so you need to do it from within the costume menu.

Also if you fancy the old 98 sound track (which amazingly also changes all the sound effects to the one's from the original RE2) that is found under the Sound settings inside the options menu.

I would still recommend play with the defaults first, because the defaults go through wear/tear and natural changes (like bandages and shit based on events) that aren't reflected on the alternate costumes.

Finally, once you beat a game, the story menu will have a new [2ND RUN] entry, you wanna play that for the second half of the story.

eg if you start as Leon, you should play Claire [2ND RUN] to see the story from Claire's POV for Leon's events.

Played almost 4hrs straight last night, up to the clock tower.
Level design and exploration is really good. Atmosphere is fantastic. I wouldn't call it scary though. Just keeps you tensed and gets the job done.

I found 3 upgrades for Matilda but I'm still rolling with the Samurai edge pistol since it snaps to critical shots fairly quickly. Found 3 pouch upgrades and still have aloooot of stuff in the storage. Excess ammo and health in hand so far.

Binaural audio is pretty good too. Though the bgm gets overbearing at times in cut scenes (even after lowering it individually from the menu). Hellblades mixing was perfect in this regard.

Its great so far, even if its not as challenging as I expected.
