Probably because of this. Danny O'Dwyer made it clear they're just sitting down to talk about the game and there will be no "reveal" or "exclusive trailer" that could spoil anymore than the devs would want to.

If that's the case, Gamespot is wasting the time of its production and editing crew as well as a full-time journalist who could be writing decent pieces or reviewing games for the time being.

Seriously. 10+ minutes videos of the exact same stuff we already know.

I don't know but plenty of details were covered in this specific video. Specifically about the main antagonist and multiplayer. And this feature is already well praised on the site and forum. If you're looking for footage then they've already said there is no new footage. Just discussion over it.

Part 4 is freaking incredible. This is almost like putting the wonders of science and creativity at its peak. Ingenius level of designing. I don't care how the actual game fares out, but I tip my hat to Hello Games! for coming up with such thought in making it all work.

Excellent feature by Gamespot and probably the best hype build-up to the release. (y)

Indeed. Just ended Part 4 and I leave very very impressed. Hello Games appears to have taken a very unconventional route towards developing a game world. If what they say is true, it would be a mathematical marvel of sorts.

This would be the first open-universe game ever! I'm really excited about it. I can see the idea of procedural game designing taking off with other developers soon enough.

Watched all the parts, DAMN I am impressed by Hello Games.

This game has jumped up to top of my most anticipated game along with Witcher 3.

ahhh...This game NEEEDs VR support....I really hope they can pull it off..It sounds like creating chaos theory or standard equation and implementing it...
My reservation is the lack of gameplay + story..rest of it looks brillaint

[h=2]No Man's Sky will come to PC, is a PS4 timed exclusive[/h]

Hello Games' procedurally generated exploration game No Man's Sky will also come to PC, with the game's PlayStation 4 exclusivity within a timed window, according to the latest issue of Edge magazine.
IGN reports that in an interview with Hello Games managing director Sean Murray in the September issue of Edge, the developer reveals No Man's Sky will hit PC after the PS4 version.

"I actually got in a bit of trouble for saying that we wanted the game to feel really console-y," Murray said. "We've always had PC in mind but in my head (console-y) means solid frame rate and immediate controls. I think a PC game can be 'console-y' and it's intended as a compliment, but I get in trouble for saying it."

No Man's Sky was announced last December during the Spike Video Game Awards Show. Despite a disastrous flood at the headquarters of Hello Games earlier this year, the title is on track for a 2015 launch. For more details on the title, check out our deep dive from E3.

What'd i tell ya?
lol this is something we've known for a long time. It's a timed PS4-exclusive. The PC version hadn't been announced up until now, but Murray did say they were going to do a PC version after the PS4 version is finished, and he's saying the same in his interview with Edge mag.

Although, do keep in mind that NMS isn't anywhere close to release. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Fall 2015 release on the PS4, in which case you should expect the PC version some time in 2016.

Developers are finding it difficult to avoid PC gaming platform, it seems.

Unless they're getting handsome royalties to stay exclusive to one platform, indie developers are hurting themselves by ignoring PC.

Arent there already too many indies out there....also its mostly steam's fault. They have this monopoly over PC market, and they dont do sh** to promote indies..other gaming stores are better in that regard.

I have steam opened..and the only indie game I see on the first page that I see 'top seller' is transistor, which is 15 euro..Dayz is listed as indie but its 25 euro

Valve does not restrict the developers to use Steam only to sell their game, its totally up to the developers.

And indie games get as much space on the front page as the AAA titles.

Slide through the Featured Items, plenty of Indie games listed there alongside non-indie games.

Featured PC Games has RUST and THE BANNER SAGA. Both indie games. Featured Mac and Linux tabs have indie games listed as well.

Below that, New Releases tab is pretty much filled with Indie Games as well.

The current deal is 33% off on Transistor and 75% off Orcs Must Die franchise. Both indie games.

That statement is so wrong on so many levels, please you dont want me to lecture you on STEAM GREENLIGHT games and if you got to STATS page, there is a top 5 game called Unturned. It is made by a 15year old kid that is topping steam charts. Steam is the home of Indie galore. Divinity Original Sin is a kickstarted project that will soon hit one million sales and will be declared the PC GOTY this year no doubt. The Legend of Heroes a Japanes RPG is in top selling list made by a small indie studio that used to make PSP games, and they are so happy that they are bringing entire catalogue of JPRGs to the platform. So please try to seee the whole PC perspective instead of glancing at STEAM for a second and give sweeping statements lol

Ofcourse tons of money was poured into this NO MANS SKY exclusivity because it was on the E3 SONY list of big games.

They say this but its not true.
Indie games which cost more than 40% of full titles, arent indies to be fair.
Minecraft is the king of Indie, it is sold for 25$ on PC. You think it is AAA production lol. And CSGO is 15bucks, is that game an indie. You are mixing Indies with cheap games.
