Brother, buy orient ultron classic dc inverter, i bought it 3 months ago, its really worth buying has awesome cooling takes, never buy a dawlance, in this ac there is a smart ac varient which has wifi turning on and off thing(which is kinda useless), which adds up 5 to 6 thousand to cost, so don't go for it go for a normal version of this ac look for it in the market, i bought it in 62k ..

My uncle just bought Haier 1.5 ton long throw AC for Rs 67000. We have a ammeter installed right beside its switch. In night time it went as low as 1.1 amps but it took a few hours for that. My uncle kept monitoring the amps whole night and it went like this

1.4
1.1

When the woke up the next morning the compressor was I guess turned off and the ammeter was showing the reading of 0.5 amps.


So I would say you have to run AC for long hours to reap the benefit of Inverter savings.

Will this ammeter still work if my house wiring doesn't have that 3rd wire known as earth wire?

Bought Kenwood eInverter Eco . Sadly, owing to recurring electricity outages all night and nearly half the day, we could only use the unit for a couple of hours. The AC comes with a massive compressor, and I am quite pleased by the cooling so far.

I suppose time will tell how well it does in regards to savings and the regulation of cooling across the room.

Model is KDC-1824S more commonly known as Kenwood eGlow 75%. Cooling is awesome. I don't even go down below 27C and it still cools alright and starts throwing cool air within a minute after startup.
We don't have electricity bill yet, will get it in around 1 week I guess.

Edit:- cost around 68-70 iirc. 1.5 ton

I have recently bought the exact same model. I am using it in economy mode . Working fine.. but i noticed the fan noise goes up and down automatically.. I have set the fan to minimum.. is it normal ? Which mode do u suggest to use.

Yes economy is good. You must have set your fan setting to Auto, it automatically increases/decreases the speed of the fan.

No. The fan is manual and swing is on.

Hmm, then that might be the inverter kicking in? You know once it reaches the said temperature, it powers down but doesn't turn off. Then when it's necessary it runs on full speed again

I don't think its the inverter thing.. as it slows down and gets fast in like 30 secs. Soon as i stop the swing . The fan stabilizes . Do turn your swing on and let me know if its the case. Vertical swing.

Well I always used to turn the swing on. Never noticed any kind of noise. Just to be sure You are talking about the interior right and not the exhaust/exterior part?

Yes I am talking about the inner unit. I think there must be some issue with mine. Ill get it claimed then. Let's hope the after sale services are good

Yea try calling their service man and tell your problem. IF he says there's a problem better claim it.
