looking at the benchmarks and the local price of a 970 im seriously considering selling my barely 6 month old 760 and getting the 970 in its place. Performance in Watch Dogs is even better than a 780Ti and any GPU that runs that game at 60+ fps is badass in my opinion

No need, just overclock your current card to GTX 770 level of performance and be happy, unless you're going for a 1440p in which case by all means get the Maxwell-based beast.

Availability 20-25 days, so basically they don't have the gpu yet. And 47k for an EVGA gpu is just insane which retails for $339 at amazon. We are talking 15k margin, that's like 40% more then its original price.

uhh thats how the market is man... 780 is a 500$ card but its available here for more than 60k

A $500 card for 60k isn't as bad as a $339 card selling for 47k.
If you take percentage then 780 is like 20% expensive in Pak then USA markets while 970 is almost twice then that, nearly 40% more. I guess its only because its newly released card and no one has it in Pak yet, it might come down when most other shops like czone/galaxy/beegeek stocks them. Here's hoping.....

Why not import it via Rayed? I'm sure you'll be getting the card at around 37-38k.
I'm gonna do the same unless of course prices here really come down to 30s level, which I highly doubt.

Nevermind search function is a blessing. I might also have it imported from amazon after all.
From the looks of how things going on I doubt we will have these cards in Pakistan atleast for a month from now. I called easetec and galaxy computers today about their availability and they had absolutely no idea about when they will be available.

Also price wise, G1 GTX 980 is priced at $639, it will be 80k+ in Pakistan when it arrives, IF it arrives at all.

yes, no doubt. if 970 priced at $345 on launch internationally. it will rise and go up afterwards for sure. but in Pakistan, it will not below 50-55k i guess.

people are speculating maxwell prices to be lower but it will not that much lower, in the end 760, 770, 780 would be better buy again here, in terms of prices.

it is just launched. will take atleast a month came to PAK. On Order can be faster for buyer.

950 is cut version of 960 with 768 cuda core while 960 is 1024. here you can compare the on paper specs.

I guess 960 is worth spending for 1080p gaming. why not going for it. 950 will give performance better to 750Ti but not by huge. umm let see, reviews are up it will Compete with AMD 370X.

gtx 950 looks quite promising plus performance is alright for 1080p gaming (another great point for gtx 950 is the sli support)....i guess this card will sell like hot cake.

Jokes aside, until they at least bring it over here locally I wouldn't be interested in it as much. I might be jumping ships from Gigabyte to Zotac in few months when Pascal is out unless ASUS/Gigabyte have a huge performance advantage over Zotac ones but now at least we'll have three different varieties at the very minimum so it'll be neat.
