1060 sli would easily blow 1070 single. why would nvidia risk their mass production. secondly nvidia has no problem in SLI sector. it goes as smooth as butter unlike AMD bad scaling.

Rx 480 and 1060 have close competition. 480 will somehow lead the market cuz

• CFX enabled
• More raw power
• More overclocking Performance
• Acceptable Power consumption
• Vulkan and DirectX 12 Huge impact in future games

So if they do not messed up the CFX drivers, RX 480 is much more future proof, in that price range.

Hardware limit. I heard they will try to patch their drivers for better dx12 performance maybe.

NVIDIA has hardware issue, they may not be able to fully patch that with drivers, they will remain behind in DX12 untill they can make next gen GPUs compatible.... i m not sure if they can do it easily as they knew this in Maxwell and didnt fixed it in Pascal
