thats an exceptional case..... skipping all these type of problems it is better to buy most stuff from local market.....
I would also recommend this option when the price difference is not more than about 7000-8000 rupees...because of the warranty issue, and because of some other issues which I havent yet mentioned here :mushy:....
But when you are thinking of buying a new PC, with all of its stuff and components, u end up saving a LOT if you get that same stuff (if not better) from the US...
Like I said, I saved upto about 50,000-60,000 rupees this way (and I not joking!)....
The only main thing u gotta live with is no warranty......but look at it this way: Sure, there are faults in hardware sometimes, but the chance of that happening is about 2-3%...and if you take care of your equipment, it can run for years at end.....All PC components are quality products, and are meant to last a decently long time..
My old HP Pavilion 8550 Pentium 3 computer is still kicking ass till today... (1)..
Plus, while I was in the process of making my PC's configurations, I came across these custom PC manufacturer's, who not only make the PC according to your requirements (quite normal in the US), but also test the PC fully before dispatching it to you....They test all the hardware for any faults, and if there are, they replace it free of charge before it arrives at your doorstep....So this way you are guaranteed to recieve fully working products...Of course, they charge a little extra for this service though, and I didnt take this offer
OK, I think this topic might be sidekicking here now.... :mushy:...Sorry guys
