Noob Questions Regarding Nintendo DS

I'm thinking of getting one (at long last) so, here are some things I was wondering...

1. Which is better: DS, DS Lite, or DSi? Since DSi doesn't have GBA support, I was thinking of getting a DS Lite - also because it's cheaper. Opinions?

2. Is it possible to play pirated games on the DS? If so, how? I heard you need some kind of a cartridge thing for that - are these avaliable in Pakistan?

3. Does it break too easy? Just want to know.

4. Does it matter if I buy it from abroad? I have three options: buy it from Pakistan, ask my brother to get it from England, or ask him to get it in France. Since all electronic items are over-priced here in Pakiland, I was thinking of abroad, but does the region-thing matter?

5. My brother also said that if he buys a DS from France, it'll only run the software in French unless you hack it - is this true?

1- DS-lite is best,IMO.DSI is just too damn expensive,and it dosent really have that much going for it(DSi store = who cares?).Not to mention there really isnt that much difference between the DSi and the DS lite.
2- yea you can play pirated games on it.and there are A LOT of different kinds of cartridges available for it.i personally use the EZFLASH V,which i am pretty happy with.most people say that ace card is better,but i dont know where to get those.yea you can get these pretty easily around here.just dont go for the R4.trust me,you dont want THAT!
3-Dude...most hand-held stuff breaks pretty easily(Cell-phones included).Heck my PSP's screen broke from just 1 fall.but i've been taking pretty good care of my DS-lite(got it pretty recently too,and got a pretty awsm deal too)
4- No idea about that.but i suggest getting it used.try the market place.but if you really wanna get it brand new then you'll have to ask someone else since i've never bought anything from outside pak.

1. Get the DS lite best value for its Price has better battery life than the DSi too.
2. Yes you need "Flash Carts" for that, They are like a memory card for the DS.which can play Games, play music, view videos and even pictures. There are different brands but Id prefer either the R4 or Ace Card.
3. Yes it does, My DS Lite's screen completely broke after a year I had to get a new DS then
4. Its cheaper in the states but the prices here are pretty much the same. They are not insanely overpriced like the PSP.
5. Im not sure, Its suppose to be PAL region which should support English too.
