Lanat, lol. I recently got back to Pak and found out about updated packages in my area, PTCL updated my 8Mbps connection to 20Mbps over a VDSL connection. To this date, I'm still waiting for a GPON connection to arrive from them but sadly, nothing yet. I'm back and forth here but I think 30Mbps over VDSL could work here as well, not sure. i have a great 20mbps consistent connection.. no i havent faced any lag yes i felt episode reduced to 2k but mostly it stayed on 4k on stranger things whole first season as i saw it in 2days ovrall it was 90% on 4k
Not every content on netflix is 4k, and secondly if you are watching on a (4k)TV, there's no any thing written or displayed that whether it is running 4k or 2k or 1080p or 720p content. And today's TVs have good upscaling capabilities, 1080p content is as good on 4k tv (upscaled) as 4k content afaik.

I think I'm gonna cancel my DSL subscription. Fuck PTCL for giving 20mb to some people and 8mb to others for the same price.

That's the case with most streaming services, no option to change resolution. You have to rely on adaptive resolution.
And there's a chance you were actually streaming a title with max 480p resolution. Not everything on Iflix is in HD.
Iflix is shit as compared to netflix. It doesnt have Full HD support as of yet. There maybe some 720p res titles, but mostly 480p, as far as i think.
And no, there's no any option of selecting res in any streaming service.

in netflix if u log into ur account through broswer u can select to choose that u want res to b High always or low always or Auto..
on default its auto.
if on High it wll try to run max res of the video tht mayb 4k or watever the content is.
I have myself shifted from ptcl to zong 4g .just make sure you buy zong bolt ultra and not plus device .zong bolt ultra comes with router that has Ethernet slot in it

I have the 4K service. The Pakistani Netflix is pretty much useless and only shashka. It contains less than 25% of the content that the US Netflix has. I use Express VPN to access US Netflix. It's quite hit and miss. There was a time when it could reliably stream at 720p, but recently it has become a little unreliable.
If I really want to watch a show in 4K HDR, I just turn VPN off and stream it directly. Works perfectly fine.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
