Hi, laptop won't power on. I press the power button but it doesn't work anymore. I broke the charger pin and got a new one, tried to fix it myself, couldn't. So got it fixed from a shop but it doesn't power on, the button doesn't do anything. So some other shop told me it's a problem with the io chip on the motherboard.. So I have to get the whole motherboard repaired now?

It's a sager np8150 which is a custom laptop from USA. So I don't know where to go to get it fixed.

Anyone you know that would know what they're doing, and what this laptop is, its parts etc.
Not just guessing

Sager or clevo..

If motherboard is the problem then you will have to buy replacement motherboard for it directly from USA and then import into Pakistan. No one have Sager or Clevo parts in Pakistan.

Its motherboard price is 295$ and Pakistan shipping charges will be about 60$ and after customs and duties you will get it for minimum 400$ about PKR 40000. Which is not a good deal. Try diagnosing if there is some problem other than Motherboard. Because other parts are quite cheap.

Doubt you will able to find someone who can fix a clevo p150hm in Pakistan the brand is rarer than Alienware over here.

You can try javaid computers in hafeez center basement he fixed a charging ic issue i was having with my AW m11x its still working today nearly 2 years later.

Your location?

If in twin cities then try Shahzad Computers in Saddar, Rawalpindi. If he can't then I doubt anyone can (atleast in twin cities).

Hey guys, sorry for the bump but I still cannot find anyone that knows how to work with a Sager laptop. I know some online shops sell Sager laptops but I don't know anyone that can repair them.

It's an old laptop but it has good hardware and I can't buy a new one either so I have to get this one back working somehow.

If you know for sure, definitely, of any repair shops in Lahore, Pakistan, then please tell me. I can't go out of Lahore right now but if you are absolutely sure, then maybe I will.

Insha'Allah I know I will find some help here.

Thanks, and As-Salaam-Alaykum!

:) :) :) and have a good Ramzan.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
