Need sincere suggestion

I have cooler master 500w PSU and bought Asus Dual Rx 580 8gb. My supply has only single 6 pin pcie connecter. while GPU supports 8 pin connector. I am very confused some are saying buy new PSU and some are saying buy 6pin female to 8pin male connector and it will work. I know that 500w is enough for rx 580 but just want confirmation if some has previously used this method. it is safe or not. your suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Yes, a 500W is quite adequate for a single RX 580 base gaming System. However, I do not rely on Cooler Master 500W based extreme-series-labelled product line. They are old and never been recommended for gaming. On the other hand, a 6pin-to-8pin Molex does work but is definitely not a permanent or long-run solution to the issue you're dealing with. I'd get a new PSU to make my Gaming rig future proof.

They are old and never been recommended for gaming. On the other hand, a 6pin-to-8pin Molex does work but is definitely not a permanent or long-run solution to the issue you're dealing with. I'd get a new PSU to make my Gaming rig future proof.

This. Cooler master extreme psus are one of the worst psus you can buy better alternative is to buy Antec, Corsair or any other reputable brand
