Hey all,

I have been saving for a middle-high end gaming pc for years now and finally managed to accrue Rs. 200,000/-. So I have managed to list down the components, as given below:

Motherboard

Processor
i7 6700
HDWD 4TB SATA PURPLE
SSDTranscend internal SSD 128GB (2.5 inch), SATA III, MLC) with aluminum housing silver (TS128GSSD360S)
Power SupplyAsus Power Supply 750 Watts
RAMG.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM 3200 MHz Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-16GVKB
CasingThermaltake Core X71 Tempered Glass Edition Full Tower Chassis
Graphic CardASUS Republic of Gamers Strix Gaming GeForce GTX 1080 OC Edition Graphics Card

I wanted to ask if there is any improvement I can get or it is fine? Also the Gtx 1070ti is another option that I am willing to take as I am not big on VR gaming.

Either I am missing something or that motherboard and cpu combination is incompatible.
What is your gaming resolution? Also the specs you mentioned makes little sense, why buy a 2 generation older cpu? If you want to buy old gen then please get it used/open box/any good deal. Otherwise buying straight will totally destroy the resale once you open it.
My suggestion will be to drop your GPU to 1070ti and go for Core i5 8600k and a z370 motherboard, hands down. Also try buying stuff from here at marketplace, ask Moatsim for 1070ti or what ever you want, he sells new GPUs but of course with international warranty. Warranties are worthless because they cost a HUGE premium.

Hmm, what do you mean PU? Are you asking about PSU or CPU, if CPU then hands down you need an i5 8600k, it should last you at least 4 years. If PSU, then go for corsair TX650 (just remember it has a grey label because there is a yellow label one that is very old and bad).
Buy corsair and gigabyte products from easetec.
Asus and dell from shingpoint.

There is no i7 "8600" however there is an i7 8700.
So first of all, I don't know of you are aware but there are 2 sorts of CPU's, locked and unlocked. In every generation there are 2 or 3 unlocked CPU's only for example in coffeelake also known as 8th gen CPU's, there are 3 unlocked CPUs:
i3 8350k
i5 8600k
i7 8700k

Apart from these, others are locked. If you don't know what an unlocked CPU means, it means that you can Overclock your CPU/GPU beyond its factory defaults like if a CPU was 3.7ghz from factory, you can OC it to run at lets say 4.3ghz, it makes your CPU performance boost but only an unlocked CPU can achieve it, unlike locked CPU's. But it has its disadvantages for example this might void warranty, increase temps etc. and if you are new to PC's I dont recommend doing that before having adequate knowledge however OCing is a piece of cake once you learn it, as quick as 1 2 3.

So long story short, if you haven't already decided then first ask yourself if you want to go the locked way or unlocked, if you opt for locked then you can build cheaper computer as you can then go for H370 (which hasn't released yet, I suppose) or even lower. Also do consider mATX or mini ITX boards as they usually have builtin wifi and bluetooth and are not big for no reason.

Thanks for the detailed info, man. Appreciate it. On the previous post, you mentioned Moatisim. Is he a vendor in Lahore? If yes, give me contact info so that I can ask him for the details and if possible, finalization of my rig.

He is a reputed guy here at PakGamers:
MSI X370 SLI Plus + Ryzen 1500x
GTX 1080s -|- GTX 1070 -|- -|- RX 580 -|- GTX 1050 Ti

You can get GPUs from him at astonishing lower prices, all sealed and new. Moatsim
The above links are just for reference of his products, they might have been sold out by now.

I PM'd him with the details. I hope he sets me up, given your recommendation.
I'm sure he will, btw in the link I mentioned above he is selling AMD ryzen package. If he is willing to sell you the board only then get it, it is a fantastic board and you can buy a higher end ryzen CPU as 1500x is at mid end, you can buy 1600x or 1700x which ever suits you. Absolute best value for money.

I think this is the worst time to get a new PC. Prices of ram are sky high, coffee lake has arrived but its boards are very pricey as midrange boards are yet to arrive. There is no value for money. Ryzen has excellent ecosystem but the boards are not available here in Pakistan that justify the price. Looking at your earlier post I think you are a user who would just need to get a system built by someone else and use it.
You should start with this combo
MSI X370 SLI Plus + Ryzen 1500x
Add non-gaming ram. Atleast 8GB
I don't know which card or monitor you have, if you have a 1080p monitor than get a 1050ti
Get as much hdd as you need
Get 128 or 256GB NVME SSD, the board I recommended has nvme slot. Don't get traditional ssd.
Get any good looking casing you want with corsair 450W psu.

Economy is bad, save the money. Don't over spend. Don't waste your money on gimmicks like K series processors as you will never overclock.

Save the money, you will thank me later.

Probably should go with the unlocked processor for easier overclocking like the 7700k or maybe the 8700k if you can get that one. No need to consider the 1070ti, the GTX 1080 is way better especially if you can overclock it which will easily surpass the 1070ti.

My one & only advice will be not to build it yourself.
Apologies for being rude, but you seem like a person who is new at building PC rigs & I would hate to see you waste money on incompatible parts. Get the help of a professional, most preferably a friend who can accompany you to a local PC market.
Why not go for some used parts?? Processors, for instance, rarely go wrong unless they are completely bricked & can save you a lot of money, if shopped intelligently. Same goes for Casing. Point is, your rig can be much, much economical if you go the smart route.
Happy Gaming!!!
