Salam bros,

As the title says,

I'm trying to build my own PTCL smart TV android box as the old one sucks and they are not replacing it for free.

If someone has the box kindly help me by extracting the pre-installed zte apps from the box and send me.

I would be highly obliged.

Thanks,
Hassan.

Do you know how to do it?

I've got an extra ZTE SmartTV box that runs Android 4.0.4

Although I think there's more to it than just extracting the apps.

Hi Murtaza,

Thanks for replying.

Yes, its pretty easy if you can install Android file assistance or apk extractor or any file explorer on the box through playstore.

All you need to do is extract or backup the 2 ZTE Apks and move it to your gmail account.

Yes, you're right that there's more to it than just extracting the apps, I think the configuration?

If you're selling the box do let me know.

Regards.

I'm not home right now, will try it out and let you know if I manage to get anything off it once I'm back.

The configuration is what concerns me since there are 2 sets of credentials that I had to enter when I was setting it up. First was a normal PPPoE connection and then there were middleware login credentials as well.

Thanks man, take your time.

You're correct. I have the middle ware login credentials that the Smart TV guy gave me.

Not sure about the PPPoE connection but I can get all the configurations from my old box that is installed right now.

Okay so I booted it up, and it doesn't have Play Store, or any Google Services for that matter.

So I put an APK on a flash drive, plugged it in, and they've disabled the ability to install APKs, so that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions?

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
