I have a Xigmatek (NRP-PC502) 500W PSU (Purchased from Iamextreme.net)
2 days ago my PSU started making random sparking sounds after suffering two power outages (at a short interval)
A friend suggested the sounds are normal (said it was the PSU's own machinery getting stressed but nothing it couldnt handle) since it was raining, i guessed the power fluctuation could be causing the sparks so i ignored it (also there is no visible light/spark, just audible 'bzzt'-ish sounds that last a second or two) Today, the PSU made the sound again, should i be concerned? This is the first time im dealing with such an issue, normally my psus would silently die.

Also, I have 5 months of warranty remaining.

No, a regular Stabilizer (1600W, 3 Relay) the kind you use for Refrigerator/Freezers (Dont judge me, i spent most of my money on the PC and since this one worked i kept using it =_= )
Right now i've contacted Iamextreme and am sending it for Replacement/Repairs, but i want to know how to prevent the replacement (if they decide to give me one) from suffering the same problem.

use a servo motor stabilizer after the replacement, it may do you good.
a servo motor stabilizer is recommended, any mediocre brand like Stabimatic would do
specially in rains/etc where fluctuations are heavy
