which one is it 512MB one 384MB or 768MB? and what's it's bus speed 256bits or 320 bits?

i thnk 8800 gts came in 3 flavors only 640mb, 320 mb and latest 512 mb..

i only wanna play test drive unlimited and crysis ....what ever at fps but between 10-20...
i will play at 800 X600..........

u can easily play TDU with tht on max details….however, to play crisis, u will hve to reduce the detail to medium@1024x768 and u will get around avg 25 fps….

Enough! More than enough i say ! Your Rig is not too oudated. Right now with this u can play these games easily and for the games which will come in future to utilize multicores than u need to think for upgradin to New CPU and mobo and still the same PCI-E work as charm i.e. 9600 gt go for the BFG one OC2 its a sweet card.

well I think we r in future….most of the games tht are already out love multicores, like crysis, woc, ac etc…

as far as 9600 gt is concerned, nothing beats Ichill version….bfg one is just teeny weeny oclocked and I wouldn’t even call it oclocked……ichill one is heavily oclocked with excellent cooler on it……as far as warranty is concerned both carry 3 years limited warranty here….ichill is still 500 rs cheaper……

what i mean to say is that it is better than the 9600 gt

well yes u can certainly get 8800 gt….it’s indeed better then 9600 gt…..and if u r getting it for 13k from SA then surely buy without wasting anytime (nd bring one for me as well ……..but plz be informed the ur current system will even bottleneck 9600 gt, so 8800 gt will even be more bottlenecked, u know a good gpu needs an even better cpu to perform at full glory…..

Check the price of 8800GTX and buy it. That card even competes with 8800Ultra and beats it in some aspects, especially in high res.

yup 768MB was a mistake. But the point is that the 8800GTS with the newer G92 chip has a 256bits bus and 512MB memory. The older 8800GTS has a 384bits bus speed and 320MB and 640MB memory. The newer one with 256bits bus and 512MB memory is better than 8800GT and the older cards aren't so confirm that first.

yep thts rite....but i think he's mixing 8800 gt and gts.....i assume he's getting 8800 gt for 13k from SA and telling it to be 8800 gts....well he will confirm it though....

I suggest that you sell your mobo and RAM. You'll gain 4 to 4.5k and your budget will increase to 24 or 24.5k. In that budget buy a 9600GT OC2 From BFG and a P5K-VM from ASUS and 2Gigs of DDR2 800 RAM from Corsair. You can upgrade your processor at a later time.

well it's your money. You have a right to spend it the way you like but I say consider my suggestion with the difference of the graphics card(buy that 8800GTS instead of 9600GT OC2) it will give you a better upgrade option for the future.

as now i am in pak...
so first of all will be upgrading to 1 mb dsl (PTCL)....and yeah will be gettin a d-link...or speed touch wireless modem...


afterward,...
i will get 2 gb of DDR2 RAm
an A4tech X7 mouse and keyboard....
and then will get a PCI x16-E card...will probably go wwith some card around 10-12k....
but then again..i didnt got the card from ksa..so now here which to get??
i was thinking 4850???howz that?
or maybe 9600gso??
