Need Help i5 2400 with h61 Mlx Hangs and lockups

Assalamualikum Pak Gamers.... My friend bought a PC 2nd Gen i5 and it is hanging... and it shows frequent slowdowns and Hangs while multi tasking , in simple task.. you know opening Multiple tabs ong Chrome installing Copying Multiple things at once, i am used to with doing this kind of computing on my Dual core e5300 but This 2nd Gen Doing these weak symptoms make me worry... I am not a noob, been in to PC's for quite a long time.. but this is the First time using 2nd gen...
Any help regarding the solution of this issue will be appreciated.



specs are:

i5 2400 3.1Ghz with cooler master Eagle sink
4Gb 1333Mhz TwinMos value Ram rated Cl9
New Asus H61mlx R.2
WD Sata 2 Green 500GB
and a 400 watt PSU with dual 12v rails
Win7 64 and Win8 64

I have searched for solutions... found out that i need to update drivers ESP. iGPU or add a discreet card to fix the problem, I did win7 but didnt worked...

So here is what i tried...

I tried switching PSU, put a 750 on it and still the same results...

Installed drivers and Updated iGPU and still it didnt went away...

According to my knowledge If Proc is running in good temps showing all good clocks , it is good to go, plus we got the chip in very good condition so dont have any doubt on PROC

HDD is a almost new piece as well, i checked it by HDD tune (short scan) it didnt showed any problem.. the Drive was in Very healthy state...


what i didnt tried is refreshing the OS.... 7 or 8 with all latest drivers from internet (currently installed drivers from OEM DIsk), and changing HDD and its cables...

Please help me out... this is the first time i cant solve a PC problem :D and can find a solution.. any help will be appreciated..

nope... I think it is a very good n cheap yet powerful motherboard, changed HDD updated drivers... and its fixed...
May be the Sata2 WD green 500G is not compatible with this mobo cz it supports sata 3gbs not 6gbs ... and the hdd i am using is 6gbs... anyway changed hdd and now its fixed ;)

Do a memory diagnostic. Leave it running for as long as you can (loadshedding permitting):

How to test computer memory?

FYI windows memory test is not the same as the one mentioned above.

Oh yes and another thing. Have you looked at windows log files for clues as to what might be causing the problem?

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios.     Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
