Need Help Deciding Mobile Phone

Salam All
I am searching for a touch screen mobile for over 2 weeks and I can't get to one final decision. So I thought that you guys might help me out in this situation
I like HTC touchscreen phones. But according to some crytics, HTC touch lags a bit. Personally I like HTC Hero because its in my budget range. But now my cousin suggested me to buy an iphone 3g instead of Hero, though I know that 3G has some issues with Apple new IOS 4. So basically to chose from, are the two sets, Hero and 3G. After these two, comes the Sony Ericsson Xperia series(X1,X10mini + pro). And also can anyone please tell me how much does Hero lags while texting or scrolling up and down? I have used ipodtouch so I know how response Apple's touch system is.
Secondly, what are the ratings of nokia and Samsung touchscreen mobiles? Like x6 and S8500 Wave.
Kindly put all kind of suggestions you have as I will gather every bit of information from the comments you will make

Well i want to have a touch mobile primarily and then i need a good user interface and good quality touch sensitivity. Actually i have used Apple's touch system on ipodtouch so basically i have an idea that how cool Apple's touc system is. The problem is I don't know the quality of other brand touch screen mobile phones.
After that you can say i need my phone to be a good mp3 player

A Brand new wildfire is available for 25 k get that . You will be pleased believe me. HTC Sense is the best Interface. Xperia after Wildfire.

I will recommend iPhone3GS or 4 and Samsung Galaxy S with android 2.2 ... IDEOS is also good in touch .. but you have to put zong's sim in it :s

I'm a user of iPhone... and its incredible because of its performance and games and obviously the touch of this phone is awesome ....

I have used the iPhone and I own a Wave

Let me tell you one thing... If an underdeveloped app store is not a problem for you, get the Samsung Wave. For this price, there is no better phone.
The touch-screen is silky smooth. The touch response matches that of the iPhone (you can read the reviews too if my word ain't enough).

It gets firmware updates too. Its a new platform so the app store ain't that good right now, but there are some awesome (free and paid) games available, along with some good productivity software.
The screen Can't be matched by any other (well, Galaxy S... but that costs a LOT more).

The OS is a combo of the best of iOS and Android If you want some screenshots, I'll be happy to oblige.

Your needs aren't that tricky... All you need is a great touchscreen phone with good multimedia capabilities under 25K.. Go for what AsnAsk says find a used SAMSUNG Wave. Just buy it from him

Sure if someone offers me 27,000 rupees for it Which no one will. So I just keep posting in WTB threads to test the waters
Even if I sell this Wave... I'll buy another one :tv: Peps Wave II.

@faridahmed.... i have seen n900 and i didnt like its touch.
@khawaja... Good to see someone really appreciating HTC because I was waiting for someone to give me a plus point for HTC(have a ton of +ve comments about iphone )

BTW today i visited market in detail and heres what i got
Hero... Economical phone with good features,running froyo.
Wildfire... Economical phone but not good features as Hero(like having 240 x 320 res. which my 6303 has :S)
Desire... A little bit expensive but has all the things, Cpu,touch,froyo
3gs.... going out of my range
HD2... At first i was all into Hd2 but later i found out it has WM 6.5 :S(Fudge)

strangly i dont like capacitive touchscreens of htc hero and hd7 which i tested...
i will say go for N900 its a beast, a second hand one can found at hall road or hafeezcentre for like 21k

Can anyone suggest me from where can I get a good 2nd hand priced mobile in lahore?
P.S I have visited HC everyday since 11January but can't find anyone good in this range
