Hey guys... I am using a stabilizer for my ntscj fat model jasper..(uses 110 volts) Usually there are voltage fluctuations in my house mostly at night after 1am that is my actual playing time. Every time I start playing voltage fluctuates and XBOX shows 3 red lights, and shuts down.. WTF... :-\. IT MAKES ME SOO FRUSTRATED.. i wanna know that what can I do so that voltage fluctuations should not effect my XBOX 360? I am using a stabilizer but still it happens.. (plugged in to 110 volts inlet)
Please help me out... I am soo irritated because of this..? :'(

500va is more than enough if you want to use just xbox360 ... check local computer shop you should be able to get it for around 5k

Deutsche is not a company comparable to APC, they're just marketing it as high quality, while in fact if you check it it is not much different to the local xpert and mercury stuff.

Buy Emerson 650va, if ur looking for a very good ups comparable to APC, in a good price.

i went on a UPS shop today and told them the whole irritating scenario about the voltage fluctuation.. they recommended using the "servo motor stabilizer" for this purpose and said that this will solve your problem easily .. comes around in 5K
so just wanna ask that do you or any other know about these kinda stabilizers? and will they be of some work ? or the UPS is better for this purpose?

what about this UPS : XPERT SMART CHOICE 650VA (E-65)

xpert is a local brand.... do not go for that ... get emmerson or APC ... i thought Deutsche power was good too but shad0w suggested it isnt that good ... so that might be the case. .. i personally use APC and it runs like a charm ... :)

as for the stabilizer.. well i dont think a servo motor stabilizer will help because the voltages go wayy below the threshold of these stabilizers ... you see the thing good about there UPSes is that when the voltage goes below threshold ... the UPS automatically switches to battery power so that the voltage remains the same ....

Are you getting an APC ups for 4.5k? If so, which one?
Do u have low voltage issue or is the voltage just fluctuating? If the voltage drops for less than 10 seconds and then returns then go for this otherwise buy a more powerful model...
Reason: The ups charges it's tiney battery in 5 hours and then runs for 5 minutes at full load! So there might not be enough time for the ups to charge and in an hour or so u will have no battery!

i usually have a stable voltage through out the day but at nights the voltage starts fluctuating.. so i have been recommended to buy an APC UPS for this purpose as it will also work as power conditioner (
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR
) and will be able to give me 10min backup aswell. so just wanna ask that is this really true in case of preventing power fluctuation? do UPS's actually work as power stabilizers also???

Yes it does but u didn't understand what I said!!! Every time the ups stabilizes the voltage it uses the battery power to do so! Then it will requires to charge the battery which takes time! Just buy it and it will stabilize but won't give you 20 minutes, maybe 5 minutes max!

Ok bought the APC 650va ups. Have connected it to XBOX via stabilizer.. (first input power to ups., then output of ups to input of stabilizer, and then output of stabilizer to XBOX..) now my question is that can i connect my PC (600watt coolermaster PSU) also from the STABILIZER?

NO you cant .. the UPS will SCREAM overload ... dont even think abt it .... the UPS you bought cant handle the PSU alone .... even if u connect just the PC to the stabilizer the UPS will overload ... to use both at one time you need atleast 1000va UPS

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
