[NBA] Low end gpu

Hi there everyone,
So, a friend of mine wanna buy a low end gpu for playing games like Cs:s or maybe cs:go or someother games from 2006-07.Now the problem is that he don't know what to buy (neither do i,that why im asking :laugh1.So here are the specs:

AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ 2.50 Ghz (gonna post cpuz as soon as he gives me,till now these are the only know specs)

And hes going to buy a local psu.So he want a card that the psu can handle.Range would be 4k maximum.
Any help would be appreciated

buy nvidia 9800gt, or 8800 gtx, or any Ati 45 or 55 series...

Well he should get a 8600gt. Not only that he might be able to run it on his current psu(I ran 8500gt on a 250watt psu) he might also be able to run CS or COD4 at an acceptable frame rate. There is no problem of compatibility of GPU working with the mobo, it all works, even a new generation card will work just with bios update.

u can buy any card mentioned above or 6670 ddr5 is also a better option having dx11 features.

or 5650 or 5670
what ever fits in this range.

for local psu either 9800gt or 9600gt are not recommended. either purchase 5670 or 6670. 4670 will also work if you are on short budget

It can play cod 4 but it's really slow even if you play games in 640x480 lowest settings.You will get 10-15 FPS which is unplayable .I suggest you to get gt430.But dont know its price.But 8600 gt or 9500 gt will work and it can even play bf3on low settings
