Hi Guys I am looking to buy a new alptop for work related purposes and would like some advice on what to buy. Here are some functionalities i am looking for

- Strong processing power and RAM, I would mostly be using it for softwares/simulators such Matlab, Virtual Box, VMWare, Mininet, Omnet++ etc.
- Do not need any strong graphics capabilities (use my pc for gaming)
- And obviously I would like something that doesn't heat up too much, has a decent battery and not too heavy to carry.

Budget: Rs. 45,000-50,000

Sorry bro no offense but HP Probooks are mainstream crap series. Go for the Pro series like Envy or Dell highly recommended Business Series Latitude. Good Luck

Envy is expensive. Latitude is... isn't it extinct already?

With Probook you'll also have Dell's local warranty. Best option? Go to some good shop and check out the laptops there. Pick then (go with a list in mind)

Thanks for the suggestion guys, Lenovo g580 sounds like the best one for more requirements.
yesterday went to market to buy a budget notebook for a friend and didnt find a g580 it was early morning most shops were closed.so bought a dell inspiron 3521 nice hardware almost same as the g580 and plus u can get a 1 gb 7670 for 49000 with i3 ivy bridge not a bad deal. if u want to do some light gaming temps r ok. if u dont like the g580 aesthetics u can check this one out too it comes with local warranty just. plus dont buy 14z dell cheapo ultrabook i bought one for my sister and the dam things display cable broke some how i dont know how but it did. so claimed it in warranty it will take 20 days to fix .
