Need a gaming laptop with 960m in it.
Please suggest as i don't know much about laptops or the market.
After some googling i reached here.

https://www.paklap.pk/7559i5.html

But didn't understand the certified refurbished thing and also its stretching my budget a bit.
Guidance will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Agreed,

About few weeks ago I was also going to purchase Dell 7559 but I also did a research and find out laptop are never meant for gaming especially heavy gaming, even the high end alienware. I honestly don't want a gaming laptop but a laptop with quad core processor and I may buy the 7559 in future but I will never use it for heavy gaming. You may go for light games like sims or ps3/X360 class games but heavy games will going to effect the life of laptop. Also a decent gaming laptop is about 170k, but in that price you can also get very good desktop PC with GTX 1060 rig. Yes you'll lose the mobility feature but gaming experience will be lot better and Desktop will going to last you for almost a decade, on the other hand your laptop may still keep working but it will lose it's performance very quickly with too much gaming.

Also PK lap is selling this laptop very expensive and refurbished mean it's used and later it's specs are bit cleaned and tuned by the factory itself, so the price demanded is too high and it's also i5 model. The i7 brand new model is available for 1k for standard 1080p and 112k for 4k model on czone, and if you're Lahore based than I may think they have an outlet in Gulberg, but not so sure.

On Gaming Laptops in this price range most games will run on medium to high settings, you can't do ultra high settings on gaming laptops in this price bracket. I think for the price and mobility offered this is a very good option.

I already have a reasonable gaming pc but for now AB MAIN UMER KE US HISSAY MEIN HOON where mostly i am just downloading games & then checking them for 1-2 hours rather than playing full games except for some love for games like Dark Souls 3, wanted to end it badly but left it in the middle & since then played no game whatsoever. (last games ended were GTA 5 & Witcher 3)

Reason are:
No time or poor time management. (To Hell with JOB)
Start PC, do some browsing, stuck between whether to watch a movie or start a game & then load just shyts from everywhere. (Loadshedding)
Well u cant download a game on PC, coz downloading needs a 24hr cycle. (No Laptop nowadays)
Most important & mostly want to do everything laying on the mattress. :D

Good thing is to buy a budget laptop for everything else but games & upgrade my 660Ti on the PC for games.
But i want to download the games on laptop and then check them on the laptop rather than moving it on PC and install there & check.
So i hope if i get a 960m laptop it will suffice my casual & lazier gaming needs. :D

BTW If this deal is like not to be missed or what ?

I think now days it's comparable as size of technology is getting smaller with time. By the way when I say mini its proper mini its hard to find proper mini case in Pakistan.

Why is your friend crying with alienware laptop ? i mean Alienwares are supposed to be the best in gaming laptops...whats the issue in your friend's laptop ?

His laptop is too heavy feels like crushing your legs when sitting on your laps. Secondly his laptop got outdated too quickly despite he paid fortune for that piece of junk now he can't even play latest games on decent settings. Finally he as decided to sell it and make a Mini which will be much more powerful and also future proof. Lesson learned I guess!

On one thing I do Agree with you. Real gaming laptops are too heavy and not as portable as a laptop should be. Alienware is like a desktop replacement. MSI, ASUS and Razerblade makes lighter gaming laptop but again cost is too high and even the cheapest one is around 160k and specs are almost the same as Dell 7559. Also MSI has a big problem with overheating and it's models are often expensive compared to other brands.

But one thing I totally disagree with you is the mini desktop are portable. I'm not saying for gaming laptops but general laptops. While I still never recommend laptop for primary gaming machine but let's say you're someone who has to carry laptop to College or Office like I have to do and I just can't just put mini desktop in some bag, take out and turn it on. I have to do all the setup with screen and devices so calling Mini Desktop portable is not right. Yes you can move it in rooms easily mostly carrying them on stairs . Trust me I do agree laptop can never replace desktop for gaming but Desktop can never replace laptops for portability and ease of use. I mean you can just even go to outdoor and use laptop something even a smallest mini PC can't do.

For Azharkhan, for your need Dell 7559 will be good if you don't want primary gaming but like Alienware is a bit heavy, not as much but still more than normal laptops. Also you can wait few months and wait for Pascal chip laptops. Right now they have launched high end but maybe few months later Pascal 1050 may arrive that might be cheap. Pascal chips on laptops seems to be close in performance with desktop cards.

Purchased Lenovo Ideapad Y700 from annosaad.
First impressions:

JBL speakers are great.
Screen seems to have low brightness probably has lower nits.
Keyboard with red backlit is good.
Battery, fan noise and temps are good too.
Performance is okish mainly due to poor 5400rpm HDD.

Well still in the checking phase. :)
