Salam Brothers,

My system Specs are:
Corei52400 Processor
P8H67-V Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 1600MHZ 2*2GB Total (4GB)

Now my issue is, I want to add more memory without replacing the old one. They are two 2GB memories occupying two memory slot Total (4GB). Now I have two slots free.
I want to add two Corsair XMS3 4GB 1600MHZ rams i.e 4*4 Total (8GB). Now it will be (2*2*4*4), Total (12GB). Will it make any kind of matching issue? and what about the computer performance will i get any improvement after upgrading to Total 12GB of ram?
I am also going to add one SATA-3 6GB/S SSD (Kingston Hyper-X 120GB) and one ATI 7950 soon.
What are your suggestions? Please briefly answer me and guide me to spend my money smartly and get good performance.
Note: No plans to change processor and mobo for atleast two years. I will wait for Intel's Haswell Processors.

first thing 4gb RAM is more then enough .. 8gb is future proof and 12gb in my view is waste of money .. anyway as you are using xms3 and wants to add xms3 no matching issues if you install in 4,2,4,2 configuration,
SSD is a solid investment and will give great bootup speed.

The ssd is pretty good if you're getting it in a good price.

And you can add 4+4 and 2+2 rams.

Matching issue? Definitely yes. 4GB modules have looser timings as compared to your 2GB ones apart from the brand and module difference. Once XMP is enabled from the bios, your overall ram timings would be based on the 4GB modules. Looser timings in this case means slower rams.

and what about the computer performance will i get any improvement after upgrading to Total 12GB of ram?

There's no improvement, you can add another pair of 2x2GB rams of the same brand, speed and timing, making it overall 8GB which would be more than enough for anything that you'd run and better for your overall memory compatibility.

I am also going to add one SATA-3 6GB/S SSD (Kingston Hyper-X 120GB) and one ATI 7950 soon.

SSD's definitely help and Kingston's Hyper-X 120GB is an excellent SSD for its performance. It would be good to wait for the 7950 at least until Nvidia releases its newer Kepler GPU's.

ya you are right i think 8gb is quite enough. however in future i definetly make changes in my proc, mobo and ram too. so for 2 yrs 8GB good and i will not get matching issue too. thanks buddy.

I'm not saying that it wouldn't work at all, it would as comparatively just run more slower. The manufacturer and model is not as important as :

- Size,
- Speed,
- Volts,
- Timings.

It can be a different manufacturer with all the same things that I mentioned above and you'll have nothing to worry about. It just happens to be very rare, hence its recommended to go with the same manufacturer and model.

Dear either let your existing 2x2gb go and buy 2x4gb in lieu thereof or buy an other pair of same rams 2x2gb making total 4 x 2gb = 8gb which is good enough to meet your requirements. 12GB with different capacities, FSB and different timings might make the things perplexed.
