The time has (hopefully) arrived when i get a new PC :D

the budget is between 30k and 40k and i need your help in picking out the best possible parts to make a good gaming PC.I heard sandy bridge processors are quite cheap now because Ivy bridge just hit the market.can a sandy bridge rig be built in my budget?

And how much would a decent Ivy bridge rig cost?

I need everything except a monitor.Already have a 17.5" LCD.

i made a whole gaming pc for my friend in 32k
system specs:
i3 2100 (9.5k) and dh61ww mobo (5k) (both in 2.5y warranty)
250GB HDD (3.2k)
420W PSU (1.5k), psu is good enough to run 6790 without any glitch
4GB vengeance 1600mhz (3k)
HIS 6790 (10.5K in 6m warranty)

and if your budget is upto 40k then you shoud get i5 2320 sandybridge instead of i3, huge boost
should be able to get it in 14-15k

motherboard.. --------Asus H-61 from IMX-------5500 rs
Processor--- core i3 2100 from IMX -------------10800 rs
Ram---- 4gb Gskill from IMX----------------1950 rs
Hard disk-------500gb segate from galaxy---6950 rs NEW,,,, or u can look for 250gb hard disk to save sum cash...
PSu---- 500watts Xigmatek from IMX-------4900 rs
Casing --- Any cheap china for --------1000 rs
This leaves around -10-12k for GPU.... u can get a used 6790 in that price..!!

i realy dont think gettin a core i5 is recommended in a limited budget.... U will just be overpowering ur CPU while compromising on GPU....
And currently there is hardly a game dat would bottleneck core i3...

is very good, except that the 1k extra u r spending on RAM wont get u a better fps. any kingston/gskill value ram will be equally good

&, if u have more budget, spend it on GPU first, a core i5 instead of i3 will not be as beneficial as a 6850/6870 over 6790.

PSU is cheap... cant rely on that.. u need something more reliable...
The total cost does not include the price of Chassis
The ram shud be cheaper,,, Any value ram shud be equally good..

so this is what I have confirmed so far:

mobo-Asrock H61 IAMEXTREME.NET - Motherboards in Pakistan

processor-i3 2100 Processors

Ram-G.Skill RIPJAWS 2X2GB 1333 MHz IAMEXTREME.NET - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) in Pakistan

Any room for improvement?

The things that I'm unsure about is the graphics card and the cooler (have know idea if required though). Help people!
You are going in Right Direction.

For cooler ? get a CM-Hyper-212+
About GPU ? well it depends on your budget.. but most probably you will be able to get Ati-6790 :)

is the cooler necessary?

and my budget is 40k max.By adding the mobo, ram and processor the cost comes to about 19k.

Oh and I also need a reliable power supply and a simple yet effective chassis (can be china or anything).
