i wanted to share some pictures of my rig but before i do i wanted to share how i became obsessed with computer hardware and everything that followed later on.
In the year 2014 there was this game released called Middle Earth : Shadow Of Mordor , me being crazy about the Tolkien Legendarium as i had watched all the LOTR, The Hobbit Sequels countless times, read all the books relevant to the vast universe of middle earth . I thought it was high time i played this shadow of mordor game. At that time i had a i7 1st gen laptop with some amd card on which playing this new game was impossible. As i had never used a console all my life, my only option was to build a gaming PC, which had a proper dedicated backup, but the problem was that i had no idea what so ever about hardware as in 2010 i had a core 2 quad with a 8800GT, which the shop keeper built for me, so with the help and advise of a friend, first i bought a used i7-3770(non-k) and and a new cheap asus-h61 motherboard. Later on i bought the little things such as a 1TB hard drive, which i recently sold, a cd-rom which i still have, a corsair vs650 psu which died a year ago, a cooler master case i cannot recall its model, it was smaller then a mid tower that i remember . Then came the hardest part of waiting so i could arrange further funds so i could buy a 1080p screen, a gpu and last but not the least a pure sine wave ups with two batteries so that wapda is not an issue. so when i got funds i bought a asus vs228h-p 22 inch 1080p screen, some cheap ddr3 modules, a used r9 280x and a 1.5KVa pure sine wave ups with two 145 ampere batteries which i still own, have bigger 175 ampere batteries now. But still i lacked the knowledge as well as the courage to build all of this myself, so of course i went to a computer hardware guy i still remember it was October of 2014. When he had built the PC, i had to buy the gpu from the seller who was an end user not a re seller, i vividly remember the big 280x would not fit in my damn case, after a lot jugaat it finally got inside and i got a display then the long await again so i could play shadow of mordor . for which i spent a good 140k on . So everything went well but my game would crash after 5 mins, my display would shut itself off i was heart broken only to find out that i had not connected the psu cables to the gpu properly so it was shutting itself off due to lack of power.
so i spent a good few months playing games and finished shadow of mordor. Then i realized that my gpu could not play the newer games on ultra not even on high settings at 1080p so i bought a gtx 970 from nafu and i was shocked to see a gpu give so much fps and my UPS shows the power draw which was less from the older gpu but performance was more, i couldn't believe it, that a gpu which consumes less power than my old gpu but performs more, of course now i know why. After a couple of months my keera started itching me again so i bought a used cooler master cm 690 II mid tower case and an ASRock - b75m motherbord, as my previous casing and motherboard were both very small. I also bought some decent corsair vengeance rams . As time passed again some games would not run at ultra high so i bought a gtx 980 again this time from nafu and life was back to normal. but this time i had a very serious problem as it was summers and my stock i7-3770 cooler would not cool my cpu properly, i went to a computer shop and bought a corsair h55 AIO cooler with a 120mm rad. Later on i bought another screen an asus vs248h and now i had a dual display. I am so much used to a dual display system that without it i feel i have some sort of a handicap, playing one screen looking at temperatures and hardware info on the other. Then after a month or so i had a serious power surge issue thanks to wapda even though my UPS has a in built transformer that my corsair vs650 died, at that time i thought all of my pc was burnt because i still had no in depth knowledge of pc hardware how it worked just knew the basics , so i went on this OCN hardware forum asked the hardware gurus there this happened they all laughed were in shock that i was using a gtx 980 on such a poor quality psu, so i bought corsair rm750x psu . coming back then my keera again started itching me i thought its high time i bought a nice case, so i bought a thermaltake v51 mid tower case which is in fact as big as a full tower and this case had a beautiful side panel which was windowed, this was first time i assembled the pc myself but the dilemma of that window was that i could see the ugly inside of my case. the only beautiful thing was my gpus wind force logo and some thermaltake led riing fans other than that everything was ugly. Then only for the sake of aesthetics i bought a corsair h80i cooler because of its led logo on pump . the keera never stopped itching i bought a z77 asus sabeertooth motherboard and a 3770k too.
After all this something very strage happened i still remember it was in the last winters that my friend bought a 6700k, a 980 TI and a proper 4k system, as he lived close by, i payed him a visit and for the first time i saw a 4K display. After seeeing 1080p all my life 4k was like omg it was like i had been brought to a new dimension, a the common misconception among gamers is that 4k is overrated, it was commpletely wrong, when i saw witcher 3 in 4k it was breathtaking. Then i made a sole mission of my gaming life to get a 4k system , soin july i bought a 6700k, an asus maximus viii extreme board and a 4k asus pb287q screen . i already had a 980ti on my old system . but now i have made significant changes to date. The keera still remains at large, will this obsession end ? only time will tell
