Intel C2D E6850 - 2.66Ghz
GA-P35-DS3R Motherboard
20" LCD
2Gigs of RAM @ 800Mhz - No spcific model in mind just yet.
PSU - 500Watts
250GB HDD
GPU - 7200

E6850 is a 3GHz processor with 1033FSB. it's a nice processor but you can get a Q6600 quad core (2.40Ghz) by paying a 1K RS difference in pakistan. anyway still I say that remain stick with E6850. For Ram, get the crosair 800Mhz (I personally using Kingston though).

For GPU, why you are buying that old one? why not the 8-series? due to budget? if you are short @ budget then lower down the CPU and get the better GPU..

GET THE 7900GS + 667 RAm Crosair

Q6600 is about 400$ here around 24k Pak RS. So thats mainly the reason I ain't getting it.

My budget is not the big issue, the bigger problem is that non of the 8 series cards are available here, so i'll upgrade when I come to pak in a month or two .

i still suggest u that if u r really coming to Pakistan dont buy from there. u can get better PC from here at same price. it depends on u, u urgently want new PC or Not. i wait for 2 months to get rid of my old PC.

Dude Vista owns, believe me, most of my mates say that it sucks but I keep saying it to them that its awesome. I didn't like it the first day but after using it for a while I changed my opinion, the games which I play run pretty smooth....so yeah....

Yeah I have been hearing all this vista vs xp crap, but still, I don't know...its working great on my PC, maybe its the Duo or something and windows did some shit lot of updating so that might mean something.

Im with u Adnan i've been using vista for over 6 months and i think it rocks most of the naging i've heard is from ppl using vista on underpowered pcs believe me use a powerful pc and the startup times are faster than XP.(Atleast in my case they are)

I would agree with you rana sahab , People who have high-end systems don't feel the change in gaming because the change is relatively small compared to performance taken as whole, but still Vista underperforms in games although its getting better and better. i would personally wait for Vista SP2.

Yeah, boot times are hell lot faster, about 3 times better if you ask me.

Gaming gives under performance, but thats like 5-10fps in every game, but if the game is running at 60fps already then it won't matter, plus I'm trying to get used to it .

I know it underperforms in games but as of the the new 8800 GTS drivers from nvidia i barely notice any changes between XP and Vista ,there are slightly more fps in xp like 3-5 not more than that.(i tested myself)
