Can someone suggest me some good alternative music like Coldplay or Imagine Dragons?
Something soothing and nice. ;)
Thank you,
Asad

I have heard the names of all year bands. I have heard two or three songs of Radiohead and it's more of a rock and metal band than an alternative one.

Coldplay is an alt. rock band. What did you expect? :S

Also, start by listening to albums and not just singles.

I'll recommend more if you give me a better idea of what you want to hear? More chill or upbeat? More electro or instrumentation?

Have you listened to Coldplay's 'Don't Let it break your heart'? Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto is a perfect example of the kind of songs I want. ;)

Preferably more chill and soothing.

I think what you're looking for is pop-rock. Try Florence + The Machines, The Fray, OneRepublic, The Script, Paramore, Poets of the Fall and Daughtry. The xx too maybe?

Putting that Coldplay track in Genius resulted in the following bands, there were others, but these are the ones I fell comfortable recommending:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - I'm With You
"Brendan's Death Song"

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
"Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)"

"Punching In A Dream" - The Naked and Famous

"AKA... What A Life!" - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Edit:
and I think you'd like "In A Big Country" by Big Country

Yup, kind of pop-rock. But more towards the alternative genre.

Already a big fan of OneRepublic's latest album(Native). Bought that on iTunes.

Will check the other bands out. The Script is good but I haven't listened them much. Same goes for Florence and the Machines. I never did bother listening to Paramore considering their music made it to the twilight saga. :|

So I hadn't downloaded #3 (The Script Album) because of poor ratings but it isn't bad. ;)
