All of the persons who are using PC or familiar with it from the past 30 years knows how it was hard to do a task or a simple work in computer since the invention of mouse with the mackintosh in 1984. since then it had completely redefine the way we use computer. in my current and probably first post on PG i am going to discuss an OPTICAL MOUSE. and now a days every single computer is equipped with a mouse.
A mouse is a optical device Developed by Agilent Technologies and introduced to the world in late 1999(before that wheel mouse was operational in market) having a red light-emitting diode(LED) .It will take thousand s of photos per second and then send them to a complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS).most of the optical mouse takes 1500 pictures per second. The CMOS sensor sends each image to a digital signal processor (DSP) for analysis. The DSP, operating at 18 MIPS (million instructions per second), is able to detect patterns in the images and see how those patterns have moved since the previous image. Based on the change in patterns over a sequence of images, the DSP determines how far the mouse has moved and sends the corresponding coordinates to the computer. The computer moves the cursor on the screen based on the coordinates received from the mouse. This happens hundreds of times each second, making the cursor appear to move very smoothly.
The main goal of mouse is to determine in which direction you are moving the mouse. Mouse’s flexibility and sensitivity is determined by its ability of capturing Dots per inch (DPI).DPI is a measure of spatial printing or video dot density, in particular the number of individual dots that can be placed in a line within the span of 1 inch (2.54 cm). The DPI value tends to correlate with image resolution, but is related only indirectly. most of the gamers prefer gaming mouse for gaming because of following reasons.
Gaming Mice
Gaming mice are high-precision, optical mice designed for use with PCs and game controllers. Features may include:
Multiple buttons for added flexibility and functions such as adjusting dpi rates on the fly
Wireless connectivity and an optical sensor
Motion feedback and two-way communication
Currently as of my opinion the best gaming mice available today are following.
1. Razer Naga
2. Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision
3. Logitech G9X Laser Mouse
4. Handstands Zero Gamers Mat
5. Logitech G500 Programmable Gaming Mouse
6. Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Laser Mouse 5600 DPI

Do let me know if you know any other mice better than these ones mentioned above.

LOL

Razer Naga isnt anywhere near NO.1 spot, its a mice for MMO gaming, its not for every game out there i.e first person shooters, and btw IMO Razer Deathadder is the best mouse right now while Razer Abyssus takin the 2nd spot, as it shares the same sensor as DA 3500 DPI

Every one has its own views abt different things. if you think that this isn't best then @ same time another person have good views abt that thing. i am not saying that you are wrong just every 1 has its on choice.

Cyborg R.A.T.

Best bang for the buck!
i've heard it skips alot (R.A.T.3 that is, i dunno about the newer ones)and besides it looks ugly to me.It isn't recommended as there are far better mice in the same price category.
