Ok so I've received a conditional offer from Monash and since things went pretty smoothly with Habib University I'm expecting to get in there as well (a bit conceited of me but I need to make that assumption for now for this question to be valid).
Now I need to decide within a month where I wish to go.
The thing is, if I go to Monash, I get the benefits of an Australian degree, comfortable life, cool campus and an exchange year at their main campus at Clayton. On the other hand, the environment will be completely new to me, I've never interacted with Malay/Chinese people like ever, and I don't know if it's a conservative society there. what the food's like and all.
If I go to Habib though, the environment, people and everything's gonna be familiar. I get to live in Karachi too where all my family lives though it's not gonna be half as comfortable or safe (since I'll still be living in a hostel). HU also offers summer programs for places like NUS Singapore, UC Berkeley and Stanford. Besides that it's a liberal arts university and they have highly qualified faculty.
the costs for both come around the same (HU is mad expensive by Pakistani standards).
So now I need to decide which one to attend.
The reason I'm going for these mid-tier unis is because I wish to eventually do my Masters from the US and I can't go there rn cuz finances.
Any input/advice on this situation would be much appreciated.
Thx
