i have recently acquired mobilink wimax 512kbps connection
its not officially launched yet but my dads in mobilink so we got one for free
i am getting download speeds 50-60 KiloBytes/s
latency is still an issue here but hopefully it will be resolved in the future

Expected to be launched in the end of may or sometime in june

i ordered for ptcl dsl 512 kbps and as we know that it gives 50-64 DL speed .It is also GOOD for gaming. Its installation is free and there service is fast . I ordered on Saturday night Sunday is a holiday they called me today(monday) at 9:30 am . He said shall we come for installation . i was in abbotabad so i said u should come tommorow. i am not at home .

In theory any thing thats over the air will have a higher latency than physical links.

WiMax = Speed and Mobility at the cost of higher Latency
DSL/Cable = Speed without mobility with less than half the latency compared to wireless mediums

Mobilink or any other Wimax should be able to support basic gaming but will never be as good as wired setups like DSL and Cable
