So yeah... Haggar and Phoenix... what do you guys think?
I think Phoenix is perfect, in fact she is better than I ever imagined. Everything from her model to her voice to dark phoenix resurrection... is perfect. Love her theme as well.
Haggar....well I love the stage and the theme is badass, but he looks too slow. What does Capcom have to lose by making a fast grappler? Sure, she hulk is pretty fast but she isn't a true grappler. Oh well, atleast the million punches super is awesome.

Along came previews for the game as well. They seem do bring disappointment in terms of MvC3's pace saying the game is a lot slower compared to it's predecessor.

^^ thats what they said about sf4 too improved gfx etc do slow a game but none the less sf4 and ssf4 is this gens best fighting game this game looks quite good stop comparing with older gen

That's a lame preview. I can think of 3 ways in which he's jumping the gun.
1. Early MvC2 was slower and keepaway-oriented when it first came out. It took years to find the rushdown heavy tactics and the infinites + 100% combos.
2. The author complains that Arthur is broken. If you've been following the game, I don't need to explain why this is laughable.
3. I think I misread him, but I checked thrice because this complaint sounds ridiculous. I think he's complaining that its silly how he can block his opponent's super, and punish with his own super while the opponent is still in his animation. What?

Its subjective how good/bad the slower pace is. The main complaint I've heard on PG about MvC2 is that people can't tell whats going on, so a slower pace might just be what the doctor ordered.
I'm not going to pretend this game is going to be balanced. I think the balance is going to be all over the place, but I don't think it'll be anything that make it tourney banned.


SRK seems to agree.

Joystiq's preview, I think most of us will agree, is pretty sketchy. It does include a few new videos worth checking out, but the content of the preview may cause you to "facepalm".

As much as I love Joystiq, I won't take their word about a fighting game. I agree with Sephi that the slower pacing might help oldies like me with diminishing response times actually get the hang of the game.

Yeah after that "other" game stopped being a viable option for online, you're probably looking for some new games to pick up on j/k actually it's good to see you so many people interested in this game

Sure its got awesome characters, but its a very deep fighting game in its own right. I daresay its much more deeper than SSFIV. Finding the perfect team that gels together well will take the combined community months, even years.
I just wished they had put in Strider. I would've bought 2 copies in that case. Oh well, their loss.

I agree with you 100% MVC3 has a deeper fighting game mechanics and every character has it's own unique moves the game is too flashy and stylish. Once MVC3 will release i might leave SSF4. I just hope Strider is in DLC and Vergil aswell.
