Friends i want to buy a harddrive for my pc 1tb would b enough for me.. I want a reliable hard with full warranty my question is, do Marsons or Pop in Lahore sell only to local shops / retailers or can i buy direct from them? Somebody here mention that they 'll refuse to sale to an individual buyer..!! So u need a referrence to buy from them..? Plus i need a suggestion for buying 1tb harddrive that lasts longer... My budgt is 7.5k.. To 8k... [emoji4] .i have a mind set for Seagate baracuda 1tb ST000DM003..and WD black Cavier... 1tb....and one thing more thing... Does model numbet matters? I mean what if they dont have the mentioned module...? [emoji53]


Waiting for quick replies cause my current WD 320gb is dying.. Used it for almost 3 years..

Marsons does sell to individuals directly and you'll get two year official Seagate warranty if you buy directly from them. Their prices will also be lower than those offered by online shops like czone and galaxy.

POP did not deal directly with customers. But last time I visited Hafeez center I heard that POP has closed down, which was pretty unbelievable considering their size and business. Not sure though.

WD might be offering five year warranty for black series HDD internationally, but you can get such warranty only if you buy directly from their official dealer and he agrees to provide warranty for such period. Many shopkeepers in Pakistan keep grey channel stuff for which they provide 10 month warranty only. I don't know who is official dealer of WD in Pakistan after POP so if official warranty is of importance to you then Marsons is the way to go in my opinion.

You would be better off with buying HDD in maximum local warranty. Many resellers here don't have official channel warranty rather grey warranty and as this grey warranty is of no good use to us. WD Black has 5 years warranty on it. WD has very good customer service. I prefer to buy their Black series drives and register with WD.

Drive models are different and you should take note on that. Most of the time models no vary with respect to Drive Class and its Capacity. Do ask for warranty info before buying.

WD black is not available any where and its pricy too.. i mean way too pricy .. i hqve decided to buy 2tb hard but there are some things i wana ask.. my friend saysbhe has seagate constellation hard drive 2tb that is equal to wd black... he aays so.. any info on this hard any one?

Plus i was about to buy WD green 2tb but its not available in market.. onky blue cavier ia available.. and on the other hand seagates baracuda 2tb and constellation 2tb .. now i have to buy one from these which one is reliable and long lasting.. ?
