Xbox 360 Fall 2011 Preview Dash Update (2.0.14692.0) — Dae.bin Challenge Table Activated

Today, Microsoft began rolling out SystemUpdate v2.0.14692.0 to all Xbox 360′s registered in the Fall 2011 Dash Preview program. Although the dae.bin changed in the initial v2.0.14686.0 preview update, its appended challenge was not active, which accounts for why participants were still able to play AP2.5/XGD3 backups. With SU 14692, the previously dormant challenge table has now been activated, and all AP2.5/XGD3 backups containing outdated AP25 replay data will fail the system’s AP2.5 challenges and result in a failure flag. This now means that all LIVE-connected users on both the current 13604 retail dash and 14692 preview dash are faced with the same situation, and needless to say, are still advised to avoid playing any AP2.5/XGD3 backups.

My console was modded BEFORE the update that reverted my firmware back to stock. Since then i haven't modded my console again and i'm playing legit online. Will this update flag my console?

I asked the very same question to faizy as i planned to revert my console to stock firware and send it abroad but faizy said "once you go live, console has gone live so it would get banned". He didn't go into the specifications.

How can you claim that? I mean it is they cannot detect pirated AP 2.5 games unless they change our drive's FW. Modded consoles are getting silently updated, not only XDG3s and AP 2.5s.

look the dae only affects modded consoles. if youre not modded and play legit games then there is nothing to worry. Its to stop piracy NOT TO STOP poeple from playing legit too


they can detect if we put in a pirated games as the ap2.5 checks will fail nd this be flagged. And modded consoles arent getting this update, ALL 360s are getting this dae.bin update. the legit owners have nothing to cry about as all legit games work. You can check this yourself. just put a pirated mw3 (or some other game) in a console whose dae has been updated, it wont run. then put the original disc and you'll be able to play

ii updated my 360 3 days ago with lt2.0 and go to live to recover my gametag.After that i try several game every xgd3 games which are running fine.I try ac revelation,driver,san fransisco,sonic and saint row 3.but old game like assassin creed brotherhood and codblack ops not running which according to my knowledge after updating to lt2.0 u have to patch ap2.5 game again.i want to ask is there any chance i have updated dae.bin coz xdg3 games r running fine?

i heard if u have modded your xbox earlier and played pirated games on it and then reverted to legit, there will be traces of piracy in your legit xbox due to the piracy awhile ago which you did so there is a chance you might still get banned if you revert back to legit after piracy.

What my main man, Demonchild, reported on earlier has already been defeated, according to the team behind x360key. This was achieved in a mere 36 hours, which makes you wonder... Is all this AP25 business worth it, Microsoft? Anyway... You can expect an update soon, hang tight. Otherwise stay off Xbox Live!

ofcourse not...u haven't played any XGD3 backups yet but ur Dae.bin is updated so don't mod it nw.

btw i rechecked my XGD3 backups...all are working fine.they include batman,geow3,dark souls,AC revelations and skyrim.i hope mine wasn't updated

yeah mate dont worry about anything, dont get your console modded & if the din is update it will mos def change your dash remember that .... and my xdg3 back ups are working without any issues

AND you sure about what you saif in the last post? I dont think the dae updates the dash too. I think youre wrong nd even dash 136xx can have its dae updated my MS. Can i have a soure for this?

Get
your AP2.5/XGD3 backups working again after the silent DAE update.


The recent silent DAE update stopped
all AP2.5 / XGD3 backups from booting. Until a solid solution is released, here
is a simple workaround

Thanks to Dattran over at XPGamesaves.com for discovering this simple work
around.

For this example we are going to use MW3.

1. Get a
USB flash drive, At least 1GB in size and format it (FAT)

2. Insert into
Xbox and goto memory devices. Select USB and configure it as a storage
device.

3. Download this MW3 Title Update. Click
here.

4. Download Horizon (Great game modding app btw - JTAG /
Glitchers should be using the shit out of this - you can use other apps but this
is my tool of choice). Click here

5. Select Tools > Device
Explorer

6. Plug in USB device to PC

7. Device will be detected.
Select Inject File

8. Load the the MW3 TU that you downloaded.

9.
Connect the USB stick to your Xbox. Restart and boot your MW3
backup.

Notes: You may have to delete the system cache after every time
you do a fresh boot of the game. But hey, it works.
